I love these pants! They are thin enough to wear on warmer hikes and comfortable enough to wear lounging at home. I wear them all day while working at home! I bought two pairs because they are the best!

I absolutely love these pants. I bought them for a trip to Kenya, I was looking for something that would be light weight in hot weather but protective at the same time against mosquito bites. I wear these pants everywhere, unlike other outdoor clothing these pants are functional AND fashionable. The are very comfortable and flattering at the same time. They are a great travel pant because they offer comfort for long car rides, but you can feel confident that you don't look like you just rolled out of bed in these joggers. I am 5' 6" 145 lbs and normally wear a medium but was very happy with a size small.

I had been looking, even prior to COVID, for athletic, loose, but structured pants. I purchased two pairs of these instead of getting another pair of Kuhl pants and am very happy with them. I use them for lounging, running, yoga, general outdoor activity. I haven't taken them climbing yet but plan to when able. ---- BTW- the Small is very comfortable for me and I wouldn't dare go smaller.

I have worn these practically every day since buying them. They are the best looking joggers I have ever owned and the perfect weight for spring/summer/fall. I highly recommend them. I am almost 5'10" and find them to be a great length. They have held up well to washing and NO machine drying. 135 lbs size small

I go on daily hikes, camp and am getting back into outdoor climbing. In Montana the summers are very hot and dry and so I was looking for something light weight and breathable that could handle light Rain and not snag whole walking in brush. I ordered the original in XS/Short and the ankle pant in a S, I am 5’3” and 122 lbs. -the original ON THE GO in XS/ short goes all the way past my ankle bones so they are not very short. But I can roll them and they still look good. The legs are mostly fitted but a little bit lose around the knees and my calf... which is just the right amount of wiggle room. I like the waist band but any smaller I wouldn’t ™be able to fit them over my hips it’s a true mid rise. They are very comfortable stretchy / water resistant material that is breathable. I am going to keep the black pair. - the ankle pant in a size S. I liked the length and the fit was more relaxed (more room in thighs) and they came up a little higher in the rise on me. ... the color was not what I expected “peppercorn”was closer to a dusty purple or mauve. I will be returning this pair because I felt they looked like “teacher pants” no-offense teachers, I think they would look great in a classroom l, but I was looking for something more casual. The material is also seems thicker than the original on the go! *** update! I want to wear my ON THE GO pants all the time! I have camped in them (they are comfortable enough to sleep in!) I have climbed on sandstone in them and they didn’t have any snags or pilling. I have hiked in them in 85• degrees and they are still breathable and I didn’t get too hot! I’ve washed them in cold water and air dried them and they still look brand new! And I’ve gotten so many compliments on them! I would love to get another pair!

I bought my first pair and after about 2 wears and washes the seams came apart in multiple places. Backcountry was gracious enough to replace them and yet again after a couple wears and washes the seams started pulling apart again. I wanted to love these pants, but they did not live up to my expectations!

So I have nothing but good things to say about this pair of pants! Amazingly comfortable for walking the dog, hanging around camp, or traveling through the airport. I know some people have complained about the “swishing” sound, but honestly it’s not that bad and the comfort as well as versatility of these pants outweighs that itsy bitsy tiny negative. If you’re on the fence, don’t be...I currently own 5 pairs of the on the go pant. Buy them, you won’t be sorry!

Fit: I think these are hands down the most flattering pants I have ever tried on. I have both the black and midnight blue and have purchased a pair for my sister who also loves them. This pant gets tons of compliments. I often struggle to find pants that are long enough and fit my slim build. I also love the tapered elastic leg cuff. Functionality: They're highly functional and have become my go to pant for all activities. I wear them hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing (I wear gaiters if snow is deep or sloshy), indoor and outdoor climbing - especially great for alpine. These are water resistant so great for damp conditions - not sure how they'd do in a full on rainstorm. They're really light weight so great for when you're climbing in the heat but want extra coverage on your legs. The material has held up surprisingly well against tough rock, although I don't think they're designed to be abrasion resistant. I have a holes starting to rip in the butt from some jtree chimneying, which I'm okay with that wear and tearm and will just patch it if need be. They also have a fair amount of stretch so they offer good mobility. I often layer long underwear under these for cold weather trips, and can usually be okay in freezing-ish temps. Quality: This is where this pant falls short. The stitching is really terrible. Within 2 or so uses the stitching on the inseam starts to fray (typically near the crotch gives out first). However, a few months into wearing these, the seams all over the legs started to fray. I have not actually had a hole rip in the leg yet, so they're still usable, it's just extremely disappointing as many other people mentioned the $80 price point is high for such quality. If this was a less flattering pant or a different outdoor brand I would return immediately. Offering this review in hopes that the next version will keep the flattering fit but provide better quality stitching! What's Missing: Outside of better stitching quality, I really wish these pants had a thigh pocket large enough for an iphone. This is something I'm always envious of when I'm climbing in these pants. The back pocket is not quite big enough for a new generation iphone (I have a normal iphone 10) to securely zip. It's also jsut not a comfortable place to have a phone.

I bought these in two different colors (midnight and olive). I’m Obsessed With them both. They are very comfy and light enough to wear everyday but also warm enough for wearing on airplanes or outside in fall/winter (I swear planes are always cold). Size is true. I’m 5’9 and wear a size large and they fit perfect

I love these pants! So much, I have two pairs. They are perfect for everything!! Great to just wear as a sweatpants casually but they are can also be awesome for outdoor activities. I have used them while hiking and they have kept me warm plus been super comfortable. they are pretty stretchy as well, so great to move around in. I love the camo print of these pants, super cure and you can dress them up as well! They do run big though, I am usually a medium i pants but I bought those and they were way big on me so I went with the small because I wanted more of a sweatpants baggy look. But I think I could've even gone with the XS and been happy with those.

I love the way these pants look, but I am really disappointed in the quality. Within 2 washes, the stitching in the pocket came completely unraveled! I've never seen anything like before. For $80, I expected a higher quality pant. I had really high hopes because they are so cute, but ultimately, I'm disappointed in my purchase.

Did you contact Backcountry? They have a pretty good warranty policy they will probably send you a new pair or credit you. They have always come through for me when something hasn't worked out. Sometimes the GearHeads are a little ditzy but most of the time they turn around is pretty quick. Sad to hear this, though, i've been eyeballing these pants for a couple months...

They are comfortable, and flattering, but they are( as others have said), a weird wind pant fabric, and SUPER staticky. So they cling. Especially with dry airplane air, or cold climates with dry heat, like Michigan where I live. Would I but them again? Probably not. Especially at the $80 price point. I expected a little more higher end pant.

These have been my go-to travel pants. They're light, airy, and extremely comfortable. I've camped with them, hiked, traveled and just lounged around the house--they've held up really well. The only downside is if you're in an area that's hot/humid, they feel a little sticky. But at that point, you really should just be wearing shorts.

I really like the style and fit of these pants, but after multiple wears I realized I can’t deal with the fabric. I live in the high desert, where humidity generally doesn’t get above 20%, and the fabric is relentlessly clingy. Probably going to have to let them go. I also second someone else’s comment that they could use maybe an extra inch- I’m 5’4” and they’re just a tad too short, but I could be ok with that if I liked the fabric.

I have been LOVING using these pants all summer traveling on the plane - I really like how light they are and that I barely feel them. They do run a little large and can stretch after multiple days of use but that hasn't bothered me at all. Any time I need to still look nice and put together but not in the mood for jeans or more structured pants these are great.
