The Backcountry MTN Air EVOLVE Hooded Jacket offers the same lightweight design, unbeatable breathability, and weather defense as its summery counterpart, but with a Primaloft Active EVOLVE insulating layer that offers warmth without diminishing air permeability. The fixed hood and cinch-adjustable hem keep cold air locked out, and the stretch construction and active fit keep us moving.

Went a bit smaller and maybe don't lol if they say athletic fit. I have purchased other Backcountry branded items in Small and it was comfortable and spacious but this was the first Athletic fit I should have went with my real size of M. However, it is fine -more form fitting. It is shockingly warm and thin - was very surprised and wore it out it in NYC on a cold rainy day. Was toasty. Recommend.

This jacket has become my go-to during the colder months. It gives just enough insulation to keep you warm but enough ventilation to keep you cool on winter hikes and runs. It is so light weight many times I forget I am even wearing it. As a bonus it washes incredibly well.

I'm in love with this jacket! A perfect lightweight layer for winter trail runs and round-town errands. Shell fabric is soft and quiet, while the lofty fleece insulation is so comfortable next to skin. Highly recommend for shoulder season adventures!
