For winter athletes who favor more fast-paced adventures and generate more of their own heat, we created the Backcountry Lightweight Merino Baselayer Bottom. We balanced the thermoregulating and odor-resistant performance of merino wool with the strength and moisture-wicking performance of nylon—and a touch of spandex for stretch where you want it—to handle grueling days in the backcountry with aplomb. Just okay

These will do for now but overall disappointed. The size small was a little too long (I have other backcountry brand pants in both small and mediums) and so the pant comes up really high and bunches a little at the ankle. The seams are uncomfortable in the thigh/crotch area. And my main complaint is that at least the green color is very see through. When taking off my goretex shells, I am unable to walk around in these, even just around the car, because they are so see through. Not only could you see my underwear in the front and the back, but also very clearly my KT tape on my shins. They work okay but honestly I didn't notice a huge difference compared to the discomforts.

These were a gift for my wife and she loves them! Very comfortable, nice stitching that allows for comfortable winter fat biking and good weight for active pursuits.

great for tall women

I'm 6ft tall and most long underwear is too short for me, these fit perfect. These are lightweight and easy to move it. We'll see how they hold up as I've only worn them once but so far they feel great.

Good for the price, almost perfect

I purchased these in the black color and so far I've enjoyed them. I really like how high waisted they are and the band at the waist. I haven't worn them long enough to know if they stretch out or not with wear but so far they're maintaining their shape and how fitted they are. It's slightly scratchier than my other merino wool leggings but it's not terrible and you can forget about it after a while. They're also slightly see through. I'm 5'5" and these bunch up at my ankles so they'd be good for taller girls.
