Why We Built The Backcountry Last Chair 2L Insulated One-Piece Suit

We love rocking retro one-pieces on the hill, but—let's face it—they leave a lot to be desired from a warmth and waterproof perspective. We created the Last Chair 2L Insulated One-Piece Suit to offer retro style with modern insulation and waterproof coverage. The recycled synthetic insulation provides lofty warmth that doesn't hold us back, while the 2-layer laminate blocks wet snow while breathing well.

  • One-piece ski and snowboard kit for days spent riding resorts
  • 2-layer laminate creates waterproof and breathable coverage
  • Stretchy and durable face fabric ensures freedom of movement
  • Polyester liner pulls moisture off of your skin with ease
  • Sealed seams and DWR treatment further fight off moisture
  • Adjustable waist with belt locks in your ideal fit every time
  • Drop hood with adjustments allows you to block cold winds
  • Item runs large, so we recommend sizing down for best fit
  • Item #BCCZ2LZ

Perfect snow suit!!!

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Bought:
5' 6"

Love love love this suit. Was having such a hard time finding something cute/not over the top looking, great quality, and not totally breaking the bank for upcoming snowboarding trip. This suit does just that! Super warm yet the extra bag gives room to choose to layer up depending on your temp. Absolutely waterproof, sat in snow for about an hour with no wetness. Comfort and mobility are also great. Nothing but good things about this snow suit!

who's torso this this long??

I returned this product before using it
Size Bought:
5' 6"

Loved loved loved the style and was instantly warm after I put it on, but ultimately returning it. I don't personally think my torso is unusually short, but there was an extra FOOT of torso in this suit and it sat too awkwardly to make these work.

I love it! Cutest one piece suit!

Size Bought:
5' 3"

I purchased this suit brand new from Geartrade, and Backcountry was the seller. I’m 5’3”, 130lbs, and athletic built. Hands down, I love this suit. I tried it on with my pj’s and a sweater, and it was loose fitting. I could’ve gotten away with an xs for a snatch fit and still have plenty of room to move if I ate it on the slopes. The upper body portion is pretty square and loose, built for someone with broad shoulders. Still NOT complaining, it’s super cute and the belt really gives you a figure so you don’t look like SpongeBob SquarePants. It has a retro feel and the hoodie is big enough to go over your helmet! I’m good with the small as I’m not too picky considering it isn’t that big of a deal it’s not totally fitted like it shows in the model photos. I haven’t worn this on the mountains yet, but it feels pretty insulated and warm. I highly recommend! I hope my size and descriptions help you find the right fit. Hugs

It actually FITS!

I've used it several times

Bravo Backcountry! I've tried in vain for years to buy a women's snowsuit; no luck with common brands or designer brands made for fashion, not warmth. This one ticks all the boxes: an oversized hood that accommodates a helmet, the reasonable pant leg bottom with zippers for bulky ski boots, slimming fit, a belt (to grant me the illusion of a waist), and the flattering horizontal seam across the butt. It's warm, roomy, the rise is not tight--can bend without bind. I'm a classic 4P, rectangular shape, will need to alter the length--story of my life--but I'm impressed with the quality and extras (thumb holster in jacket, slash zip pocket on pant, AND chest and arm have zipped pockets! Kudos to the design team! Well done!

Love it!!!

I've used it several times

Now I understand why onesies are so awesome! Even in the 80s-90s, I never understood what was so great about wearing a onesie skiing. But I never actually tried wearing one until now, 2022 and I LOVE LOVE LOVE It!!! So warm and comfortable. I love that this has the straight leg instead of the cuffed leg like the vintage ones, so I don’t look as short. I hope they bring this back in bright colors next year!

I have this in cold brew/black and wore it to opening day last week. I stayed so warm while hanging in the parking lot cooking breakfast / drinking coffee / waiting in the lift lines with the rest of the city. The suit is insulated throughout and very roomy in the bodice, and cinches at the waist to make me look like the snow bunny I dream of being. My one complaint would be that there needs to be one more internal chest pocket, so hopefully in future seasons they will add more storage solutions.
