Good casual wear; good value
I gave these to my son for a holiday gift and he was very pleased. He's a hiker/boulderer/ice climber.

Belt Loop Ripped At Pants Attachment

Same as someone else reviewed, the belt loop ripped at the point it was sewn to the pants. Only wore the pants three times. The right side zipper seems a bit suspect in terms of long term quality as it's just out from behind some pocket cloth and has a plastic sheath on the zipper pull that seems like it'd snap if pulled too hard.

Great pants, bad design

These pants were my go-to for the 4 months I had them until the belt looped ripped out. Didn't catch it on anything, just cleanly ripped out putting a belt on one day. Pretty disappointing because i loved these pants.

Quality pant, zipper is ok obtrusive

Quality pant. Fit is spot on. However the zipper is quite front and center and definitely a main focal point of the pant. The pictures do not accurately represent the impact of the leg zipper. As such this cannot be anything more than casual. Not appropriate for even business casual.

Everyday Pants with a thigh pocket

I think that the Tech Pant title is rather deceptive, these pants are, as far as I can tell, the same as the Basis Everyday Pant with the addition of a thigh pocket. The current fashion definition for Tech Pant is very wide and seems like it can be anything from dress pants, to chinos, to pants actually made for technical outdoor activities as long as they have some stretch material. As for the actual pants. I really like the stretch canvas, and while the sizing does run large, I like the fit. It is easy to move around in, and not at all constricting. Other than the hidden pocket, which needs to be tacked down so I don't have to position it every time I pull the pants up. It is a very solid everyday pant, but it will not be replacing my Fjallraven Keb trousers, or any of my other actual technical pants for demanding outdoor activies.

Great Look

These pants have great stretch making them very comfortable while the fabric still looks rugged and outdoorsy. I get a lot of compliments on them, the slender fit looks amazing. They do feel a half size large, so I got both 30 and 32. I like having both sizes, 32 when I want a looser fit and 30 when I want a more slender fitted look.
