Bummed
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I've had this for over a year now. The bag material is not durable enough for air travel. Mine has rips and holes being held together with gorilla tape. The top quick release buckles on the shoulder straps are metal and work great. The bottom adjustable buckles are plastic and promptly broke when loaded with enough weight. Should have ponied up the bucks for a longer lasting bag.

Not as tough as I would like. Used it a bit last two years Alaska float trip, Europe, WY, Kodiak hunt and weekends at cabin. Has 4 or more holes in bottom, which i tapped. Not as water resistant as i would hope. Top zipper will seep quite a bit on rainy day. Configuration is great, easy to get in and out of and plenty of pocket to stash small frequently used items.

Looks awesome, performs badly
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Initially this bag looks just awesome. However, it appears that sturdy waterproof material which seams bombproof and indestructable in fact is very fragile. I used it for flying to ski trips, and literally the first flight I used it, I already saw that punctures appeared on the bottom of the bag. Also one of the shoulder straps partially ripped - I saw a photo with exactly the same rip in another review. The second flight I had, I received the bag completely ripped and honestly, I was expecting that. Every sharpy edge of anything can rip it. Absolute no-go for extreme activities. Material used - is nowhere near as durable, as cordura, for example.

Ripped after first use
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Ordered two 100L backcountry duffel bags before a trip. The bags are comfy enough to carry and hold stuff just like a bag should, but both straps on each bag ripped. The stitching doesn’t seems super bomber. Bought em primarily for expedition stuff but I’m really questioning their waterproof-ness after this initial trip where they were only used as checked baggage and not even loaded to the brim. Mega bummer that I can’t return these.

Everything I was looking for and more

This bag is so much bigger than I expected, so glad to have invested in a versatile bag. Look forward to taking it on a plane, camping, long road trips, etc. Great place to store gear as well, the waterproof nylon is what sold me. I can say from experience this bag can withstand heavy weather.

I have used this bag all winter getting kids to and from the mountain skiing and snowboarding. Seriously I had 3 pairs of ski boots, all their ski clothes, helmets, change over clothes, shoes, snacks, and water! And still had room!! The bag is seriously big. My only complaint is that I have over packed it and it was super heavy, but the straps are well made and have held up. The colors are nice and quiet, not obnoxious and loud which I love. I ordered a smaller duffle size for my jump bag and didn?t even think twice. If you are looking for a high quality, super large bag get them while their hot!!

Bought a few of these bags. Love them multi use from outdoor adventures to travel. Well built and tough as nails. Like the option Of adjustable shoulder straps and hand straps for duffle style carry. The color options are great too.

This bag is so big that you can bring your mom along! We will definitely be using this on our longer trips and adventures. The bag looks to be made very well, and the backpack straps will aid in the carrying of this HUGE bag.

Rain, sleet, sandstorm, no problem

You could spend a little more on the shiny boutique bags but then you would not have a handy dry-bag side pocket which comes in very handy if you want to keep dirty or wet items from the main compartment (it expands into the main compartment: smart). I was able to fit all my gear for a 4 day trip and I always overpack. I had this bag in my tent vestibule when 40-50 mph winds snapped a pole and my rainfly got a bit shredded. The bag was exposed to blowing sand, which led to rain, then to sleet. I just had to brush it off in the morning and everything inside was safe and sand-free. I’ll be getting one of each of the smaller sizes, I’m sold.

Killer Durable Bag That Fits EVERYTHING!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
My husband got this duffel for overnight work shifts. He throws it around in his truckbed, trunk, etc. and it never shows signs of wear or tear. He squeezes in a sleeping bag, pillow, work outfit, computer, books, toiletries, etc.?you'll never run out of space! Also love the many easy-to-grab handles as well as backpack carry option. We plan to use it one day when we fly again to be able to accommodate a family of four's stuff so we don't have a million bags!

Does the bag pack into its own pocket for storage?
December 21, 2020
This is a fire design, but would be better if at least the main compartment had a molded-plastic zip (VISLON) rather than the coil zip. Coil zips bend and warp under load and always fail eventually. Molded plastic zips cost a few cents more in the BOM but last forever, never break, and are easier to zip as well. Waiting for v2!!

Do the backpack straps also have hip support straps for longer hikes?
