What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I wore the Volant Visor Helmet on a bluebird powder day and the photochromic lens adjusted so smoothly between the trees and the open bowl that I never once reached for a lens swap. The fit system also let me tighten things up in seconds at the top of the lift."
Flat light, blinding sun, deep shadows under the trees, a day on the mountain throws every kind of visibility challenge at you and the Volant HD Photochromatic Visor Helmet is built to keep up with all of it. The photochromic HD lens shifts contrast and color as conditions change, so you're not squinting through one run and overwhelmed the next.
Underneath that visor sits real protection, with AMID 360° rotational impact protection working alongside a fit system that adjusts instantly, no tools, no fuss. The Merino and 3M X-Static lining keeps things regulated and fresh, whether you're grinding out laps in bright sun or riding out a storm day.

Frequently Asked Questions
How should I choose a size for the Atomic Volant HD Photochromatic Visor Helmet?
Choose by head circumference: S is 51–55 cm, M is 55–59 cm, L is 59–63 cm, and XL is 63–65 cm. Measure around your forehead, above your ears, and over the back of your head; the 360° Fit System adjusts the fit around your head. How does the Atomic Volant HD photochromatic visor handle changing light?
The foldable polycarbonate visor uses HD PHOTO Lens Technology and has a lens category of 1 to 3, adapting as light changes on the mountain. Its reported visible-light transmission is 53–13%, making it suited to variable alpine conditions. What fit features help the Atomic Volant helmet sit securely?
Live Fit and the 360° Fit System adapt to head shape for a close, low-profile fit; the Fit System adjusts circumference, height, and shape. Try the visor against your face as well as assessing circumference, since facial shape affects how it sits. What protection and construction features distinguish the Atomic Volant HD helmet?
AMID 360° provides multi-directional rotational-impact protection, while the hybrid construction combines ABS with in-mold construction. The helmet weighs 600 g in size S.Is the Atomic Volant HD Photochromatic Visor Helmet suited to piste skiing?
Yes. Atomic describes this helmet for piste skiing, and its integrated foldable visor combines HD PHOTO Lens Technology with a polycarbonate lens for changing alpine light. The visor makes separate goggles generally unnecessary, though fit around the face is important.
