I've used it several times

The positives: sole is grippy. The negatives: after one trip seems are coming undone. The worst part is that there’s a hard seam where your fore foot flexes and it puts a lot of pressure on the inside of your feet and causes friction blisters. Happened to both my wife and I, so it’s endemic to their design. Another review had mentioned this, but I thought it was a one-off or a fit issue, but they were correct, it’s the seam placement.

The BEST boat to land shoes!

I bought these to take on a trip to the Greek isles. I wanted a pair of water shoes for some beaches that might be rocky under water, that could also look like regular shoes in case I wanted to go straight from the beach to town, and that would be lightweight and easily packable. The Loyak’s are exactly those shoes. These shoes look really good even if your primary purpose isn’t to get a water shoe. But I was able to swim and snorkel the Aegean with these, and then just throw a shirt on and go into shops and restaurants. A bonus of the light gray color shoes is the white soles, which are great for being on a boat deck.

Sailing with Loyak

Took my new Loyaks on a 5-day sailboat trip in the San Juan Islands. They served as my boat shoes, and they were wonderful...very comfortable, great traction, and I made use of the fold down heel for easy on-and-off. I didn't get them wet, so I cannot attest to how they do in water or how quickly they dry.

Perfect shoe for getting to and from the river and also for on the river when not wearing dry gear.

Great shoes

These shoes have been great to wear. They fit well and have a nice wide toe box and they are lightweight. The only thing that would push these shoes higher for me is that they are slightly abrasive to the top of my foot when wearing them barefoot but that could be a me thing. Other than that I've enjoyed wearing these shows and showing them off as they are stylish and the colors on the green pair are great! The bottom of the shoes are great for all types of terrain and have been great while walking in lots of rain or on short hikes.

I wish they had half sizes.

Sizing needs half sizing and this shoe would be great

Daily Driver

I've been on the lookout for a minimal and clean shoe that is more natural foot shape. This fits the bill and has become my daily driver for shoe around town. It hits the mark on materiality and fit.

I love these shoes! I liked the first pair so much I bought a second and wear them as an everyday shoe!

Great shoe! Could benefit from half size

Read some reviews that you should size up since there are no half sizes, but it ended up being way too big. Had to order a smaller size elsewhere. But the shoe itself is great - a little rubbing on the toe initially, but it broke in really quickly. Perfect for hiking into a body of water with a kayak.
