Love at first try on

I have not put this boot through the ringer yet, I will update my review when I know more about its performance. Got these to replace my old backpacking/hiking boots. I measure a true 10.5, typically wear an 11 in hiking boots. I ordered these in a 10.5 and they fit perfect. True to normal width, and I don’t have a wide foot. These feel so good on foot, a bit heavier than the Asolo Grid Mids exactly as the Backcountry description indicates. I was hoping to choose between the two, but I like them both so much! I’m keeping both for now to see how they do on various trails. I plan to use these for colder or icier trips, and the Grid Mids for warmer itineraries. I ordered these along with Altra Lone Peak Hikers, and the Asolo Grid Mid hikers, to compare. I wanted to love the Altras because of the shape and how light weight they are, but they run a bit short and my second toe rubs just slightly to the end of the shoe and that wont work with hiking socks or descents.
