Stability gets its silver anniversary.
When you're looking for stability and comfort in a trainer, why not look to a design so trusted that it's old enough to rent a car? That's right, Asics' gold standard in stability turns 25 this year with the Gel-Kayano 25 Men's Running shoe, and to celebrate they made their classic design better than ever. A FluidFit upper kicks things off, combining multi-directional stretch mesh with stretch reinforcements, resulting in an upper that adapts to your foot to provide the ideal fit.
Perfect for over-pronators or anyone seeking a more stable ride, the Gel-Kayano line wouldn't be a stability shoe without cushioning, and it's got plenty of that. The midsole combines FlyteFoam Lyte and FlyteFoam Propel technology to balance energized bounce back with lightweight cushioning without compromising on either. This shoe also comes with Asics' Guidance Line technology, which increases gait efficiency while stabilizing your foot through your whole stride. Exoskeletal heel reinforcement gives you added heel support, so you can bust out a nice 25-miler to celebrate. Or maybe like a 2.5 miler.

Over the years I've been a loyal Gel-Kayano runner and have seen many updates to this shoe. It continues the become sleeker, less bulky, and more responsive. The materials have become more comfortable, and somehow more supportive over the past few updates as well. This shoe continues to impress when it comes to durability and ride. It's easily a 350-400 mile shoe. I've had them last two running seasons. For a slightly higher price running shoe, you get your money's worth from mileage.
