    Sleep like a baby.

The Alps Mountaineering Foundation Sleeping Pad offers premium comfort, durability, and lightweight packability (regular size) when you backpack the Pacific Crest trail or pitch a tent for the evening. The pad's double line ripstop top and polyester taffeta bottom provide durability, and the jet stream foam gives plush comfort for a great night's rest. This self-inflating pad features a non-corrosive brass valve for fast inflation and long-lasting use. The anti-slip Alps top logo prevents your sleeping bag from sliding around.

Offered in three different sizes, the regular size is light enough for backpacking, and the long and extra-large sizes are better suited for casual camping. The extra-large pad uses three-inch foam and a thicker pillow for a more luxurious sleeping experience, and it has two valves for faster inflation.

    Pretty comfy when inflated fully!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This pad is super long, which is great for people who are tall or people like me who shift around a fair amount in their sleep...but it means a lot air and time needed to inflate! It is really supportive and great after a long day of hiking and adventuring around. I love the stuff sack and the ties that come with it. The self inflating feature could definitely work better but I don't mind needing to manually inflate it, just takes a while.

    I recommend!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

So it shows up and it's in a clear plastic shrink tube, uggh, wish it had a bag to put it in - low and behold, take it out of plastic and rolled up in the pad is the bag. Wished it had straps to wrap around it - there they were in the bag. This ended up being exactly what I wanted. As always, blowing in the valve helps the inflation process. Worked great! Packed great!

    Good Nights Rest

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Bought this for a friend to take a week long road trip.
Tested it out before giving it to him, it's plenty comfortable, and looks like it'll hold up well to abuse.
Definitely not something you'd want to bring backpacking, leave it for car camping.

    Slept like a baby

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

It did what we asked of it but, I would like a little more padding. Really enjoy the non-slip grip on the pad that kept my sleeping bag from moving around.

    high quality

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is my first experience with a foam/inflating pad like this. I am really pleased. It was a little hard to roll it back up - just takes a little elbow grease. Right now I don't have a bed in my home so I am sleeping on it nightly and it is very comfortable all things considered.

    Rugged and comfortable.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased 2 of these to replace my ridge rest sol. Is definitely an upgrade, but I couldn't say for everyone. I camp with my dog, so rugged came before weight for me. These pads are built to last, and so far I can't see how to damage it. There's other pads out there much lighter and much more packable though.

This pad goes exactly where my ridge rest went, only easier. Poles still get rolled up inside. Don't expect to fit this inside a pack.

If you're use to a foam pad, the time it takes to get this ready might be a disappointment.
