Why We Like The adidas Terrex Agravic Speed Trail Running Shoe

When our day calls for tricky terrain, rocky obstacles, and dusty hardpack, we look no further than the adidas Terrex Agravic Speed Trail Running Shoe to help us stay light on our feet. The sock-like construction lends unimpeded mobility and the breathable mesh offers ample ventilation when we start to kick things up into high octane. The perforated EVA instep allows air to circulate within the shoe and regulate our foot's temperature and help prevent blisters and uncomfortable feet. Meanwhile, the EVA midsole attenuates shock and provides ample comfort underfoot, and the Continental Rubber outsole rips and grips varied terrain, even when Mother Nature unleashes an unexpected bout of precipitation.

Light and breathable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lightweight and breathable. I am using them for hiking exclusively. Make sure the socks are light colored as they'll show through the top mesh area. I am also using different insoles, which is the case with most Adidas sneakers.

Great performance but I am covered in blisters

After two runs, one 5 miles the other 10 I have had to hang up my running shoes. The blisters it has given me on the inside ridge of both feet are so bad I can hardly walk. I won’t be running for at least ten days waiting for them to heal and it is also the cause my 10 mile run had to end early. Ignoring the blisters the performance is excellent. When the shoe wasn’t rubbing I felt supported by the cushion making it easy to go round sharp bends at speed, the grip is fantastic making hill sections effortless as you steadily gain ground with decent traction. For the water sections your feet do get damp and will take most the run to actually dry. They perform so well in my first run i smashed my PB it’s just a really shame they destroy your feet. I am hoping once I have healed they maybe worn in enough to try again. But if it repeats they simply can’t be used which would be a crying shame due to their performance:

Nice

Stuck to my own shoe size rather than the recommended half size up. I also switched out the grippy laces for standard ones which have a little bit more flex and give. I think the ones that they come with would be great for short fast races where you need lock in, but I was looking to go a little further.

A very functional shoe

I have had a run over the hill in these. They are extremely grippy. They have not quite broken in yet, but are proving to be soft and stable.

A solid trail speed/workout shoe.

A strong option for those looking for a trail shoe for speedier sessions or potentially racing. Upper is minimal, and quite breathable. Little to no heel-counter for those that do/dont need them. Runs a little big, certainly compared to their Adizero shoes, I’m borderline 10/10.5 in the AP3 and Sen10 but these Terrex shoes have plenty of room. Nothing thicker socks can’t assist with. Little bit of arch pinching on one foot in the first run but that has since gone. Laces oddly long too, but a runners knot helps with that. Ride is what you’d expect from Lightstrike Pro really. Firm but supportive, bouncy but not squishy/sinking too much. I assume it’ll get better with age too as my other Adizero shoes have. A nice rocker helps with transitioning into the next step. Grip is adequate and perfectly serviceable as a road-to-trail shoe if you need to travel a bit to get to the trails.

Definitely buying again

Took the shoe for multiple trail runs. I ran on rocky terrain, sand, grass, and even paved sidewalks and streets. The comfort was consistent. Sand is a little difficult to run on, but the shoe held up just fine. Also very light, relative to my other trail running shoes. Planning on a second purchase. More color choices would be great.
