    Bring on winter's worst.

Stormy days at the resort and frigid mornings in the backcountry call for the warmth and waterproofing of the 686 Men's GLCR Hydra Thermagraph Insulated Jacket. Built with an articulated fit and strategically-placed insulation for ease of movement and comfort, the Hydra can handle everything from hot laps through your favorite pow stash to long tours in technical terrain.

Infidry-20 fabric keeps wind and snow at bay, and it's highly breathable to keep you from getting clammy on intense hikes. Fully taped seams prevent moisture from sneaking in, and mapped Thermagraph insulation offers more warmth where you need it most and less where you don't in order to save weight and bulk.

Air-Flo mesh-lined underarm vents help you cool off after a long ascent, while the removable powder skirt links up to your 686 pants to create a snow-proof barrier for deep days. An asymmetric zipper design keeps the zipper out of your face and the vent chin guard lets your breath escape so your goggles don't fog.

    • An insulated jacket for the resort or backcountry

    • Synthetic insulation keeps you warm even when wet
    • Underarm ventilation offers body temperature regulation
    • Myriad of pockets keep necessities close by

Fashionable cut! It looks great! Disadvantages of: Little! For example: has bought 2003, I'm riding in the 686 Autentic Smaty size M, I put it in the lower layer in the middle layer of armor + 200 fleece and she did well! This jacket I feel good only on the lower layer + 200 fleece. Probably XL in this jacket, as M in Smarty 2000. The material itself is very delicate, I think, not for the harsh conditions of use. The buttons on the skirt are made of plastic, I think, too, can become a problem in the future! I'll wear it to the rink for country walks ,or selling!
If a photo is displayed, it 686 Autentic Smarty
    model 2000 i use, today!

At first, I loved the 686xAirhole Thermal One Piece (grey heater) collaboration baselayer (Guys, please continue to release this great peace of clothing in the new collections!) and decided to stay with the 686 brand!

This Jacket is great. Tested it on the -3 Celsius on top of my baselayer (without mid) and it is awesome! The fabriques is soft, although it is a 20000 membrane! The asymmetric zipper is so cool (hate irritating my skin) and is kinda similar to my baselayer.

Pockets, sizing and form, color, vader vent), just feel that this great peace of clothing is made for me!

    Keep on Michael Akira West)

    Epic Chestpiece of Extreme Value

This jacket is in a class of it's own when it comes to bang for your buck. I've compared this jacket to a few other jackets (some 200$ more) and damn does this thing still come out on top. The fit is perfect for any snowboarder. Not too baggy but plenty of space to tweak out a phat method. The weight is super light to make it a non factor when riding. The feel of the outer and inner material is solid on the outside and comfy on the inside. There are areas of heat insulation perfectly placed to give you just a fist bump of warmth in the right spots. The sleeves are cut perfectly to give you a slight angled cuff to go over your glove or mitt. The zippers are minimal but functional. And this thing kicks water away with the power of a slap-chop. It's a cool looking jacket with nothing super fancy on it. What you get is an extremely well functioning shell for a fraction of the price other companies ask for. It's the best jacket I've ever owned in the last 10 years.

Feel free to chat in and ask for George Po. to get a discount on this awesome piece!

Whether your ripping groomers at the resort or dropping cliffs in the backcountry the GLCR Hydra jacket will keep you warm and dry in the most extreme weather conditions. This jacket comes in at an amazing price and has one of 686 most waterproof/ breathable membranes. The isolated insulation panels not only keep you warm but keep the bulk of the jacket down. The exploration fit is articulated in all the right spots and keeps the jacket slim and true to size. You also get lycra hand gators to keep snow out and vador vents at the top of the collar to keep fogging down while your hiking through the backcountry. This is a go to all season piece for that guy who is looking for more out of a coat but does not want to empty his bank purchasing one.

    Best Value Out There!

The Hydra jacket has all the bells and whistles for keeping you warm and dry on the hill or in the backcountry, while not totally eliminating your bank account. It comes with one of the most waterproof and breathable membranes out there, the isolated insulation keeps you warm where you need it but doesn't bulk up the jacket, and it's got all the pockets you need. This is a go to piece for those getting into harsh weather conditions, or riding every day possible all winter long.

    Fresh Look, Light & Warm

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XL

This jacket is pretty awesome. I'm 6'0 and 180 lbs and the XL is a perfect fit with extra room for movement when getting after it. The cuffs around the wrists are flexible and easy to get over your gloves and the Dark Vader Face Mask is a cool feature. The only bad thing I can say is more pockets the better . This jackets has basic pockets but nothing unique. Otherwise this Jacket is filling the bill and doing its job !!

    Tough to Return!

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

So I technically returned this jacket and stuck with the Patagonia Powder Bowl Jacket, but it was a touch decision. The jacket fit well, was comfy, and definitely looks legit! Loved that there were tons of pockets to stash stuff as well as the slight insulation it had in specific areas.

I think the only reason I decided against keeping it was because for the price, the goretex can't be beaten in the poweder bowl jacket, and the way the next fit was a little weird. Because of the cut and the zipper, I think they had to make the neck area much larger and was worried about it letting out too much heat and letting in too much pow during a good tree run.

    Streets to Opening Day

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

Once you get this the quality is great. The fit is better than expected and true to size with a good length. The drawstrings make things easy when changing it up between a more flexible or snug fit. The Thermal technology you can feel! Also lots of pockets!! Pockets for anything and everything.
