    A column of strength

For a more aggressive riding position, or to simply counter-balance a slacker seat tube, 3T's Ionic 0 seat post features the appropriate zero-degree setback. It is lighter than a setback post and the saddle clamp has been reduced to a single bolt design for ease of use.

3T's Ionic 0 was constructed from a blend of lightweight and durable carbon and aluminum. For the shaft, 3T used ultra-stiff carbon, which blends low weight, stiffness and comfort — it's known for its road-chatter dampening characteristics. Atop the post, 3T uses it sophisticated Difflock seat clamp. This is a single-bolt clamp that is compatible with saddles that have 7mm round rails. The splined design of the clamp makes setting saddle angle and setback simple and requires only lightweight clamping. You won't need to torque down to ensure that your saddle won't slip.

The 3T Ionic post comes in one color—its stealthy black-on-black. It is available in three lengths: 280mm, 350mm. 420mm. Each length comes in either a 27.2mm or 31.6mm diameter.

it's good, but not the easiest to set up

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I played with this for some time before I got it to hold solid for me. I'll admit I took it to my favorite mechanic to actually get it done right. I just couldn't get it to hold in place solid. Once it's there it's great and won't budge, it's just getting it to that point was tricky. Make sure you have round rails, it won't work with oval rails.

    Good Ride....

But on the heavier side. The clamp is very secure, but the internal mechanisms don't allow for much precision on dialing in your saddle angle. It is very stable once installed and helps provide an exceptionally smooth ride and would be an excellent carbon post for heavier riders as it is very sturdy.
