Born from a need to break free from road-based clothing and all things Lycra, Sombrio was founded in 1998-and is still led today-by pro freerider David Watson. Based in the North Shore Mountains of Vancouver, British Columbia, Sombrio draws from its woodland roots to bring not only technical apparel but also streetwear to the mountain-biking masses. Sombrio is one of the first bike companies driven by riders, for riders. From what started as a whim, Sombrio gained momentum through word of mouth to become one of the most trusted names in mountain biking.
