The warmest base layer leggings.

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Fit:
True to size
Size Bought

Weight

These are the perfect layering piece for backcountry activities. I have put mine through the wringer on long ski tours and winter runs. I love how these fit, I'd say midrise and true to size. These leggings keep your tush warm and are flattering to wear at apres if you've stripped out of your snow pants after a long day. My go-to baselayer for sure!

Best fit of any wool leggings I've tried

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit:
True to size

Weight

These leggings are the perfect fit for me, 5'6" 135lbs, ordered a size M. They have a high waistband and still have extra room for breathability in the crotch (without feeling baggy). The fabric is soft, the flat seams are comfortable, and I love the thick waistband. I've been searching for wool leggings and have tried Smartwool, Kari Traa, REI, The North Face, and even another pair from Mons Royale, and these are by far the best. They aren't heavyweight leggings (more like midweight) but they fit so well they will be my go-to leggings for backpacking. If I remember, I'll update the review later after testing them more this winter.
