Old Man
Should be standard issue for old hikers. It takes to long to get over slips and falls when you are 75.

Mom-in-Law is still upright!
Purchased for mother in law, who would venture out to her mailbox, on ice covered driveway. They are fitted to her shoes and she likes them very much. My concern , for her, was heightened because she is 86 years young!! Still believes she is a spring chicken!!

FreeStep6 Crampons
Hi, I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy using the crampons on fishing boots. They have helped me out tremendously in navigating our local streams/rivers. Thank you so very much! Craig O.

Great product
I love the ease of putting them on and taking them off. You can use it for the part of the trip that you need them.

I like these crampons a lot and use them often in the winter. They’re the first and only pair I’ve owned. However, when I was out hiking on my own I tripped because when my feet brushed together the metal pieces clipped into one another so that I couldn’t part my feet. I just wanted to let you know. I really do like these crampons overall.

Great, until they're not
I'm unsure why the chain links that hold onto the rubber part aren't welded shut, but I was near the summit of Mt. St Helen when one on my right foot broke off and then it wouldn't stay on my boot, so I was hiking the rest of the way up and down with only 1 secure foot. It's kinda tough because it's expensive to buy another set just to have a spare with you, but also I don't know that I'd put all my trust in them for a long adventure, either.

Best on ice/gravel
I walk several dogs on or dirt gravel road which is usually covered in ice all winter without the spikes which are now on there 3rd winter and still like new they would pull me down many times

Running with Skeeter
Bought the FreeStep6. Had no problem running on the icy road with my dog. Didn't even know I had them on. Very pleased with this product and would recommend them. They fit both my boots and running shoes.
