Why We Like The Zamberlan Trail Lite EVO GTX Boot

Classic mountaineering style and lightweight comfort come together in the Zamberlan Women's New Trail Lite EVO GTX Boot. It offers the support you need when shouldering heavy loads for multi-day forays into the wilderness, but it's still light enough for afternoon hikes across tough terrain. And with its retro style, it looks damn good doing either.

Crafted with an artisanal tanning process that was used over a century ago, the single-piece leather upper is soft, yet tough, for increased comfort and dexterity without compromising durability. It's treated with Hydrobloc to help it shed mud and rain, and if that's not enough, it's backed by a GORE-TEX Performance Comfort membrane to keep soaking downpours out while still allowing your foot to breathe. Lightweight EVA cushioning eases each step and provides rebound to spring you into the next. It's finished off with a Vibram Pillow outsole for reliable grip on everything from dusty rock to thick mud because you're sure to encounter a number of different conditions along the way.

  • Lightweight boot for tough hikes and long treks
  • Single-piece leather upper lasts longer and is eco-friendlier

Zamberlan is the BEST

I've used it several times
Size Bought:

I had a pair of Zamberlan for 20+ years. I wore them mostly for winter and rougher terrain only. The treads finally worn out. I have few pairs of hiking shoes of different brands, but always ended with sore feet after a hike longer than 4 miles. So I knew it was time to get another pair of Zamberlain. The boots are true to size, regular width. I have very wide feet, so I put on boot stretchers after I got them. The boots are grippy, while farily lite weight but sturdy, and comfortable. I've worn these boots for quite a few hikes, longest was 13 miles, as well as a trip through 3 miles of very rocky scree terrain. These boots worked like a champ. Sturdy and comfortable. No more sore feet. Absolutely LOVE these boots.

Nice but...

Size Bought:
5' 2"

These boots are very nice in all ways but one. No cushion or support in the footbed. In fact hard as rock. Why?!? Everything else was there...sturdy, good laces, suede and cushioned at ankles. I put in an insert from a pair of sneakers and it felt better but still not right. I had to keep weighing could I find the perfect insert ? would they get better broken in? These boots reminded me of steel tipped work boots men wear. I will keep looking.
