Forget battling with painful blisters and the stiff, board-like feel of breaking in a traditional hiking boot with the instant comfort of the Vasque Women's Breeze III GTX Hiking Boot. Offering comfort straight from the box, the Breeze III GTX bucks the trend of taking weeks or even months to fully break in a hiking boot. Not only does it provide this broken-in feel the moment you slip your feet inside, but just as importantly, it's more breathable than ever when you're trekking in sweltering conditions.
Nubuck uppers maintain abrasion-resistance on the trail, reinforced with a rubberized toe cap for protection from rock strikes. Strategic ventilation panels actively circulate air inside the boot, preventing overheating in hot weather. Sealing out pouring rain and shallow stream crossings, the Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane keeps your feet pleasantly dry in soaking-wet conditions. This waterproof membrane is the most breathable in Gore-Tex's line, meaning your feet won't soak in sweat from the inside-out during hikes.
One of the most important features of any good hiking boots lies within its shock absorption and aggressive grip underfoot. Fulfilling both of these needs, EVA cushion pods soak up jarring vibration while the Vibram Contact Grip maintains reliable traction with every step. The Vibram sole employs a MegaGrip compound for unrelenting grip across variable terrain, ranging from slick rock outcroppings to dusty desert mesas.

Only for wide feet!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- 8.5
- Height:
- 5' 5"
Ouch! I ordered my usual 8.5 and I got blisters wearing them on a one mile walk on concrete. It didn?t matter how tight I tied them, my heel kept slipping. Otherwise, they feel like walking on a cloud. The heel is a little tall for my liking- not nearly as bad as the Merrell Moab though. Returning these.

Excited about these shoes but run small
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Size Bought:
- 8
- Height:
- 5' 5"
- Weight:
- 130
All: I did my due diligence and research on hiking boots before purchasing. I was drawn to these shoes as they seem to have good support and are lightweight. However, beware: they do run small. I am always a size 8 and now I must return these and buy new. I am nervous as I do not know if I should purchase a size 8.5 or 9... I have a trek planned for next week so I am hoping that whatever size I re-order comes in quickly and fits me. Honestly still deciding if I should go with these or try out a pricer, different boot. Note that the tongue of these shoes is also a bit scratchy/rough. Tough to buy shoes online, but I guess this is how it goes. Can't beat this price though...
