Why We Like The North Face Summit Casaval Hoodie

The North Face Summit Casaval Hoodie impresses us on our high-output activities in the mountains. The light and stretchy face fabric and synthetic Ventrix insulation keep us warm in chilly conditions yet breathe when we're in blast furnace mode, charging up the skin track, post-holing our way through a snowy trail, or scaling icy waterfalls. The zonal insulation targets our core with extra warmth while dialing down insulation in the arms and hood to dump excess heat and support a full range of motion.

A disappointment

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

I bought this to replace an older Ventrix hoodie (same style and fabric as this) from a few years ago. Unfortunately they have really cheapened the zipper on the this. With my 6 year old Ventrix hoodie, the main zipper is thick plastic and super smooth. With this one, it's thin and like a regular zipper and much harder to operate and seems to have the propensity to getting stuck. The zippers on the side pockets are also much harder to operate. The fit was a bit more snug than the older one, but that by itself wasn't the deal breaker.

Best insulated mid layer I have ever worn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you run hot, this is a great resort mid layer. Not too hot when you are charging but warm enough on the lift, even in a cold day. Fit is great, hand feel is soft, doesn't make any noise and is versatile for a wide range of temps.

I would purchase again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this to wear skiing and on outdoor training sessions. I like how well it fits, not too long or short in the body. I'm 5'8'', 143 athletic build.

Summit Series

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're looking for a jacket that offers solid warmth at a good value, synthetic insulation is the way to go. You don't get quite as high of a warmth-to-weight ratio as down,

I love this jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this jacket. It's become my default jacket for everyday activities. It keeps you warm when you move and comfortable when youre standing still. Can be layered easily. Its easy to put on as the entire jacket stretches. Its portability when not in use is amazing as it can fit in the little bag that it comes with. I would buy this jacket again, wish it was offered in a different color. 6'4 Male / 240LBS / XL

Great Jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was looking for a lightweight jacket to replace my ventrix hoodie, this is just as warm and comfortable. Only wish it had the rip stop material in portions like the sleeves like my old one for added durability. Great jacket and would recommend for anyone looking for a lightweight and super warm jacket

I would recommend this product if there's a good price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the jacket from a TNF outlet. The jacket is super comfortable, lightweight, and stylish. But on the other side, it's not that warm.
