Be prepared for any unpredictable winter weather with The North Face Freedom Triclimate Jacket. The do-it-all jacket is essentially three jackets in one, featuring a waterproof outer shell and an insulated inner jacket that can be zipped apart for days when you don't need maximum protection. On cold, snowy days both jackets can be worn together to deflect snow and keep us warm, or the shell and inner jacket can keep out rain and cold independently. With the zippered pass pocket on the arm and the internal powder skirt, we only need one jacket to take us from snow days on the slopes to springtime showers on the walk home from school.

Not waterproof
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is great for skiing in all temperatures but not at all waterproof which is such a disappointment. It's raining on the ski slopes and I purchased this jacket for 3 of my kids and all are soaked through to their base layers. Such a waste of money

Stains
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a nice jacket but the inner light orange coat stains very easily.

Rips easily
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this for my son with the bibs and I have the same problem with the bibs. Rips easy. He was cross country skiing and encountered some brush and ripped in multiple spots. Very nice looking and warm just not durable for an active 11 year old boy.

Warm & comfy but no pockets on inner layer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only complaint is that the inner layer has no pockets which can be a big inconvenience during outdoor sports. Otherwise it's warm & layers well.
