We all could use a little peace of mind on the trail, but that shouldn't mean packing on massive layers of body armor when we're heading out for endurance trail miles, or cross-country laps. Sweet Protection builds the Knee Guard to offer light, thin protection that elevates your confidence, without restricting movement or breathability. These guards use a thin layer of Sweet's proprietary SAS-TEC padding, which offers shock-absorbing properties, but still keeps things streamlined so you can easily toss them on under your shorts, even if they aren't super baggy. SAS-TEC has a knack for flexing to comfortably fit against your skin, and in this particular application, it's constructed with an articulated shape that is designed for your body position when you're in the saddle. Lightweight elastic fabric makes up the rest of the guard, allowing your skin to breathe easily, while keeping the pads locked in place so they stay secure, even when you're pedal mashing.

I was looking for knee guards less bulky than my dh ones for enduro and cross country rides. My first ride I wore them in place from start to finish (typically I'd leave them lose around my ankles for the climb until I get ready for the descent) to put them to the test with lots of pedaling... and they stayed put the whole time! I never had to adjust them, they did not pinch or slide around, overall just very comfortable. They do claim to be very breathable but I definitely got sweaty underneath them, and I live in a very dry climate at almost 10,000ft. I've only used them a couple of times, but feel I can already highly recommend these for a peace of mind on your next ride-I never thought I needed them for the daily rides until I got in a crash that tore my knee up. Don't be like me and wait until AFTER. For reference, I ordered a size Small and I'm female, 5'6, 120lbs.
