Great Design but Questionable Durability
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit:
- True to size
The bag is very well designed! The draft collar, the weight and packability (which are surprisingly very impressive for a 20 degree synthetic) are all fantastic features. But the materials (the fabric and the zipper) do seem a little light duty and I question how durable this bag will be. Only time will tell. I wouldn't buy this for heavy/frequent use, but for occasional use (I bought this for my kid for the 2-3 times/yr we camp in winter) I think it will do the trick.

On a good sleeping pad and wearing wool socks, base layer, and hat, this is a legitimate 20F bag at a great price and weight. I'm partial to synthetic insulation for its performance over down when wet. Feature which sealed the deal for me was the 70" shoulder girth which is hard to find. Typical men's bags are 60" shoulder girth which make me feel like I'm wearing a straight jacket.

I’ve not tried this bag in a cold night yet but I couldn’t be happier so far. The bag compressed down to a reasonable size and fits nicely into the sleeping bag compartment of my Osprey Aether 70. My girlfriend also was able to fit hers into the same space in an osprey Ariel AG 65. For the price you get a reasonably warm bag that is on the small side for a synthetic. The rating of 20 degrees seems accurate as long as you sleep in a base layer or something similar. Definitely a good purchase.

Comfortable and Warm
- Familiarity:

This bag was comfortable and even warmer than expected. I had used a different brand with the same temperature rating for camping in the middle of the summer in the west/northwest and at night I got cold. I typically wore a sweatshirt and sweatpants since the nights could be a bit chilly. With this sleeping back I wore a t-shirt and shorts in Kentucky in November and was still far warmer. Great product especially at this price point.

Head to toe warmth, looks great, and it had a substantial amount of fill so it adds a nice cushion for your back. Arrived just in time for fall and winter camping.

Consistent Warmth
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I've used sleeping bags that keep your body warm, your head and feet cold. Not this bag, the warmth is consistent head to toe and that is awesome! The mummy feature zips up high and smoothly. This is definitely and car camping sleeping bag, it is a bit heavy but adds a little extra padding for sleeping. I really like this bag for mild weather. 20 degrees covers a lot of camping situations, even in the high mountains.

Is the DWR finish C0 and PFC-free?

Is 20 degrees the comfort rating or the survival rating?
