High-Sodium Hydration Drink Mix - 8-Pack
Skratch Labs High-Sodium Hydration Drink Mix
First things first: Skratch Labs didn't make the High-Sodium Hydration Drink Mix for casual training or everyday drinking. It's designed specifically for endurance athletes who find themselves coated in white crust after a race, hooked up to an IV, or otherwise fresh out of salt after a long period of intense exertion. Each pouch contains as much sodium as a bag of potato chips and less sugar than almost any other drink mix, because that's what you really need.
It's been proven that sugar isn't particularly important for recovery, so Skratch focuses on sodium. Excessive salt loss is dangerous, as well as performance inhibiting, so it's important to re-up after extended high-intensity exercise. High-Sodium Hydration doesn't taste particularly salty, though, because it's paired with a little glucose, natural mango flavor, and citrate, which has been shown to ease digestion and speed energy-creating pathways.

Work very well when needed

Rehydrates you fast when you're deyhdrated and still have hours to go. Also not the best pasion fruit flavor, but one of the best tasting hydration powders, there is no funky chemical flavors. But must be used when you acutally need it. I carry a packet as emergency rehydration when out or take one just before multiple hours of heavy sweating.

Must have for 70.3 training in Atlanta!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I am training for my first 70.3, reguarly logging 14+ hours of training a week and as a result, I struggle to keep my sodium levels up which leads to light headedness and ultimately nausea. Used this stuff today for my 50 mile ride in heat in lieu of eating salt packets and it works!!! Taking this to all my races in future.
