Nobby Nic Addix Tire
It seems like versatility is the most important thing in mountain biking these days. Versatile frame geometry, versatile suspension, versatile tire size, so it's only natural that we should pair our all-terrain ready bikes with a tire to match it. The Schwalbe Nobby Nic Addix 27.5 x 2.6in tire is hungry for whatever trail you throw at it. With large, centered studs for keeping you planted, framed by smaller lugs for quick rolling grip, and chunky shoulder knobs for locking you down on sandy switchbacks, the tire is ready for any trail you toss it on. Healthy spacing between the lugs keeps weight down to reduce your rolling resistance, and add a self-cleaning element with mud shedding capabilities. The sidewalls are reinforced with SnakeSkin to turn up the durability to 11 when you're knee deep in fell trees and shale in the backcountry, and the introduction of Schwalbe's new Addix Speedgrip rubber plays into the mix with its own list of benefits. The Addix Speedgrip was introduced to replace the well-known PaceStar compound, with boosted grip, and damping, and a massive increase in durability. Top it all off with the hefty 2.6-inches in diameter, this tire is happy to provide you with extra grip and plush comfort, without the need for plus tire spacing and tons of extra frame clearance.

- I've put it through the wringer
I have the 2.6" SnakeSkin TL Easy - Not the Apex version. Mounted on Ibis/i9 742's with 35mm inner width. I have about 120 miles on them so far, front and back, with about 100 of that in Moab....Navajo Rocks, Slickrock, Amasa Back road/Ahab, Rodeo. I'll include a picture of the wear. I'm 65, and was in Moab with my 27 year old son and cleaned a couple of climbs there that I had not been able to (my son can, though) and at one point he said, "I don't think I like the new dad!" High praise indeed! Locally in the Wasatch, at 160 pounds, I'm running 14psi front/16psi rear with great success. In Moab, I was running 16/18 and for Ahab, just to prevent burping, around 18/20. Great, grippy, fast rolling tire.

Kind of hard to edit, but I just measured them at 16psi on these rims. The widest point of tread is 2.542" and the carcass came out at 2.593". You can see from the photo that the rubber "burrs" on the outside edges are not quite worn off, because, even at these pressures, the tire isn't flatting out completely, side to side.

Thanks for the awesome review, Joe! This is super helpful for the Community. Glad to hear the Schwalbes are performing so well for you, it sounds like your son is going to have to start training to keep up! :)
