Nearly weightless, the Salomon S/Lab Pulsar SG Trail Running Shoe unleashes our stride, giving us the freedom to bound into new PRs. The energized platform gets livelier the harder we push our pace, making it a top choice on race day, while the multi-directional, wide-spaced lugs give us biting, mud-releasing traction on rolling trails, ensuring we don't lose energy on slips and slides.

THE MOST LIGHTWEIGHT
THE MOST LIGHTWEIGHT COMPARED WITH OTHERS MODELS OF TRAIL RUNNING, RECOMMEND TO TECNICAL RUNNERS.

O.M.G.
My favorite for now! It’s awesome in every way. I am a nurse and on the average work 50 hours a week. It truly makes walking the halls easier and less tiring. Fits well, true to size, good arch support, and extra light as if you’re walking in the heavens. Love it to the max!

Not what I expected.
Nice light shoe, but the opening of the shoe is extremely small and tight. Once I got them on, walking seemed spongy and unstable. I was so disappointed that I returned them.

Extremely light with great grip
Just did 20 miles with 5k of vert in the Pulsar S/G. Couldn’t be happier with the shoe.

Great Shoe for SwimRun
I have worn these shoes for (3) 4-mile trail runs over the last 3 weekends and I love them. Runs have been on hard pack, tree-rooted paths, and in rain/mud. The cushion is generous and the stack height remains stable. I find the laces easy to use. I tuck the slide lock in first, then fold the excess lace length in half a few times and then tuck them in. I use a "shoe horn" to get my foot into the shoe. The ankle cuff is snug and I have not experienced any chafing from it (nor blisters from insole). The cuff keeps debris out and smooths water flow (when swimming). Many 'swimrunners' are concerned about drainage. I am not. An empty shoe will hold about 1" of water. As a result, I feel a bit of a suction between my foot and insole which requires several strides to cycle out the water. The shoe is extremely light, sleek, cushioned, and the sole sufficiently lugged. I look forward to swimming AND racing (9mi Run + 2mi Swim) in them.

The best trail shoes!
Super light, super responsive and super comfortable. The Slab pulsar SG are my favorite shoe. They were the main shoe I wore during my world record attempt on the manitou incline here in Colorado. . I ran up and down the incline 7x a day for 31 days wearing these shoes for the majority of the month. The incline is a stair case ascending 2000 feet in .88 miles. I HIGHLY recommend the S/lab pulsar SG! I just ordered the S/lab Pulsar 2 SG and can’t wait to see what’s different in the new gen !

Makes my inner foot hurt!
I wanted to love this shoe, it had all the markers of a good shoe. I got it in size 8 which is what I use for Ultra 3. But after one 20k trail run, I developed a terrible pain on the inner part of my right foot on the downhills. I've never experienced this pain before and was running on my regular trail. That being said the grip felt good.

Why did I wait...
Finally decided to give these a try after noticing them on sale. For a similar type of running I have been using the Ultra Glides which I give 5 stars and have multiple pair but wanted something lighter for racing. I stated, in my Pulsar review, that I purchased the Phantasm which caused blisters and thought there was no way I'd fit in the Pulsar or Pulsar SG. I was mistaken and it feels as though this shoe was designed specifically for my foot. I purchased a shoehorn after reading reviews prior to receiving the shoe but find no issues with putting the shoe on. I appreciate the quicklace far more than regular laces as well. This shoe will definitely be my new 5k and 10k cross country race shoe. I will also try this shoe for longer distances up to a half. If you were waiting or wondering about this shoe because of the fitment reviews I'd say give it a shot, you may be pleasantly surprised as I was. I also purchased the Pulsar and am just as happy. As a side note I am 40 years old and run 20-30 mpw with a 5k < 20 mins and a half marathon in 1:30:00 as of last month. I now wish I would have purchased these shoes instead of trying multiple other pair at slightly lower prices and being disappointed, costing more money overall.

Wish I could return
I have to mirror “old mountain runner”’s review word for word. With the addition of the fact that these shoes were nearly impossible to get on. I also tried everything to wear them, but my bony feet (just below my ankles) rubbed on the inner lace ‘housing’….and moleskin, even foam padding i tried to superglue inside, etc, didnt help. I assume my attempted modifications made them unreturnable, but I wish i could. I have 3 other pair of Salomons that I really like
