Why We Like The Salomon HPS Takaharu Nakai EP Snowboard

The Salomon HPS Takaharu Nakai EP Snowboard brings speed, agility, and control to our freeride adventures with a directional camber profile and tapered directional shape. The extra-long nose design and tapered tail create better float through the deepest powder sections, while the radial sidecut creates a consistent response.

  • An agile, maneuverable board for intermediate/advanced freeriders
  • The directional camber profile combines stability, control, and float
  • Features a tapered directional shape with a slightly tapered tail width
  • Balances playfulness and responsiveness with a medium flex
  • The extra-long nose and tapered tail offer excellent float in deep snow
  • Built for speed and max wax retention with the sintered EG base

Had some days on it & some feedback on how it lines up with the earlier Taka HPS. Still has the speed and glide that you would expect from a Taka. Where this board differs, is the way that it can finish a turn! The updated tail design and stiffer flex back there adds a great snap out of each turn that you load up. The overall flex of this board is softer than the current Taka, but that snap in the tail is noticeable. Also, don't be afraid to size up a bit!

Springer is an old guy.
