A great pack for day
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A great pack for day hikes. I use this for all my day trips as well as multi-day events when I do not have to carry my sleeping bag & mat. It sits well on the hip and is extremely well balanced and comfortable.

This pack is Magic!

This is the best feeling backack I've ever put on, it is incredibly comfortable and holds weight well. I had 35 lbs and it felt like nothing to the point I forgot the weight was there and was wondering why I was moving slow. It moves incredibly well with your body no matter is you have the hip belt connected or not. If you need to make any adjustment to the fit it is so easy to do and most can be done without having to stop or take the backpack off. It is completely silent, no creaks or annoying sounds as I hiked which is great. This pack has all the options and acessories you could ever want/need without getting in the way of each other or funcionality. From daul hydration tube holders to a dedicated bladder sleeve to ice axe storage, it has everything. This just goes to show how every detail is well thought out and incorporated into the bigger picture. The way the pack can compress and secure its contents with almost a clamshell action is not only quick fast and easy to use but holds the items in your pack to make you, your gear, and pack one sold unit. Now is this better than a 250$ bag? To be honest, I do not know as I don't own any, but if you want the best 30 ish L technical dayback made by the biggest backpacking company, this is it.

Worth to try
I think the backpack is worth a try. Comfort at a very high level. Excellent workmanship and materials used. I would take note of a few things. The backpack is 24 inches and cannot be made smaller, which may be a problem to use as carry on / hand luggage on some airlines. Hipbelt pocket dosn't open easily with one hand ( but is amazing quality with a lot of space ) Side pockets are really good. Top pocket is also very nice size. Front pocket as well. I wish there is one more small pocket with zipper inside the bag somewhere. Big zipper open very wide like half the backpack at least Straps are really amazing, but i wish you can remove hip belt when you want to travel more minimalist ( is almost as big and good as in 68 liters version, but sometimes you don't need that much for 32 liters bag. I own 68 liters UNLTD bag as well so i can compare them. Quality is the same and i am happy with my choice. I just wish is 2 inches smaller so i wont stress i need to check in with some more restrictive airlines. Overall I thing is a great backpack and I believe that Osprey learn and make better few choices when comparing to bigger UNLTD Packs

If you value comfort then this pack is for you!
Obviously the biggest ""issues"" are price and weight. However, having used many other minimalist packs over the years I decided to try something with a bit better support, comfort and load distribution. I really love the simplicity of adjustment (although I never had a problem with load lifters) and the additional pockets are nice for organization. The ventilation is far superior to any of the ultralight packs I've used (mostly HMG) and being a bladder and bottle user I like the easy access to the bladder sleeve. I find I can easily fit my tent/tarp/bivy, sleeping bag, stove, food, and all the other ""necessities"" inside the pack leaving the outside pocket for quick access items. The ice axe loop is an essential feature for me but I do wish there were two and a few other anchor points on the exterior to lash down crampons. With that said I don't think this pack was designed with mountaineering in mind and is more geared for Class 3 and lower. I will not be retiring my ultralight pack anytime soon because of the larger volume, but this pack will see over 30 days of overnight use in WY and UT in the next several months. Thanks to Osprey for creating another alternative and thinking outside the box.

Great pack for day hikes or an overnight trip
Yes the price is high. Once the sticker shock wears off, you will really appreciate the function of the pack. The suspension is the best I've ever used. The weight immediately goes to your hips. The crazy easy adjustments make you realize how a well fitting pack is supposed to feel and then the ventilation is next level. For a day pack this is the best out there and it's not even close.
