Not quite there

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Got those on SAC and honestly, I would return them if I haven’t paid so little. Don’t expect to be as performant as a standard tubular 4 straps compression sack. First, you have a zipper at the opening. And zippers are less easy to close when the sack is full and uncompressed compare to a draw cord. bag is tedious and slower than standard compression sacks. Second, the buckles (2 on smaller bags, 3 on larger bags) are one side only; this will make the compression uneven. On the plus side, they are lighter than standard compression sacks, and the buckles makes getting access to the gears way faster.

Great fit and easy to use.

I use these for my Guizi down wool bags. The 12L is a perfect fit. I just ordered more.

Great shape, weird size

These compression sacks create a very packable shape that contours to your back inside your pack. I found this 8l too small for my 20 degree down sleeping bag. It would be better for spare clothing. A 10l would be perfect for the average sleeping bag. I am not sure why this bag has a zipper, seems like unnecessary weight, a few little Velcro tabs would suffice.

I wish Osprey would make these as dry/evac bags

I adore these compression bags in all sizes. When compressed they curve just a bit so they utilize that extra space on either side of the pack suspension system. I'm a small woman, I've discovered the 20L size turned upside down works pretty well as an ultralight day pack. A large man might have to use the 32L. However, I've ended up deciding that most of my stuff should be packed in ultralight, evac dry bags. I don't like the shape of the traditional dry bag and my wildest dreams would come true if Osprey would make this basic design from waterproof evac fabric, replace the zipper with a rolled opening like a dry bag, waterproof the seams, and keep the straightjacket compression system. Then it would be perfect! Oh, and maybe add two more colors for color coded organization.

Excellent Sleeping Bag Compression Sack

I used this to replace my SnugPak Jungle Bag original compression stuff sack. I normally had to roll the bag perfectly tight to make it easily fit into the original sack, and that is too time consuming. The side opening feature of the StraightJacket is perfect, as well as the 8L size, and compression. Well done. I'm rethinking of other sacks to replace with other StraightJackets.
