Why We Like The Crux Drysuit

When the flows peak this spring, we love to break out and zip up the NRS Crux Drysuit. A 4-layer Eclipse shell gives this drysuit remarkable waterproof, breathable protection, and it's also stretchy enough to ensure freedom of movement while we're skirting eddies and dropping falls. The neoprene overskirt features a double-pull hook-and-loop closure to fit over your sprayskirt tightly, while top-quality latex wraps around your neck and wrists for a watertight seal in frothing whitewater.

Failed to honor there price online

Backcountry advertised this NRS dry suit on there website for 75% off so i ordered one . Website said they had two suits still available. Within 1 hour after purchasing the dry suit Backcountry canceled my order without any explanation . I went back to there website and they had changed there pricing from 75% off to only 25% off on that same suit . I was definitely disappointed at Backcountry I feel like the company should honor there price that was posted and stand behind it . They did return my money after I had to wait for it to clear back through. I just received a email today which has been 2 months since I made the purchase asking me to leave a review on how I liked the dry suit so I thought I would share this experience with Backcountry

After a multi-day trip...

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Size Bought:
Large

Bought this new suit after taking a solo multi-day trip through the inner San Juan islands during the shoulder season. Kept me dry at all times and was breathable even in warmer air temps (60-75F). Getting in and out of the suit is fine, not the easiest but not unmanageable either. Neck gasket is a little too tight, even after stretching for weeks to expand it (and I have a moderate-to-slim neck size). The suit is easy to "burp" to remove excess air. The shoulder fit is a little broader than my body type but does allow plenty of room for movement while paddling. I wish the feet were hard-soled. I wore this with neoprene booties over the feel as I needed soles.

Great improvments for 2021

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

The new zippers, by 'YKK", that NRS are using are so sick. Not only does the matching colors look amazing, but they are so soft and flexible. It make the suit overall, so much more subtle to wear. Great to see NRS continuing to make improvements.
