Why We Like The Marmot Montreaux Down Coat
The walk to our favorite café is far more pleasant on snowy mornings with the Montreaux Down Coat to keep our core toasty warm. The hydrophobic down fill retains insulating properties when you encounter light snow flurries, and a DWR finish repels everything from light precipitation to accidental coffee spills.

Love it!!
Love this coat!!! It’s warm. And just big enough that I can have layers. I am 5’6 and 140pds. Size medium was perfect.

Nice shape, super-warm, love the color!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm 5'8" and have about a 39" bust and 40" hips, so puffy coats (especially long ones) can often just look way too bulky and poofy on me. This coat is SO stylish and comfortable! The baffling/stitching on this coat gives it more shape and interest so it doesn't seem frumpy. I also wanted a hood with faux fur, love that this one's removable too. Pockets have a cozy fleecy lining. I'm SO excited for winter in the Rocky Mountains to arrive so I can snuggle in this coat!

Disappointed
Beautiful coat however the outside material in the chest area does not allow for the inside fleece lining. The result is that while it feels as though it fits, the outside material is snug and looking as though it is stretched. I didn’t realize this until I had removed the tags and tried it on with a sweater on underneath. Going up a size would be too big in other areas. I purchased a Large and normally wear a size 8/10.

Good Quality But Odd Sizing
Good quality but sizing is off in this jacket. I sized up from large to extra large based on reviews. The body was almost too fitted and the sleeves were oddly large.

My Go-to Cold Weather Jacket for Every Day Use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second Montreaux coat I've purchased; the first was for me, this one is for my mom! It's the softest, warmest jacket I have ever owned. I wear it every day in the winter - it has made walks to the bus stop infinitely more enjoyable, and cold November soccer games bearable :)

Bad zipper
I should've listened to the other reviews about the zipper. I was able to pull it up once (with considerable effort), and then wasn't able to zip it up at all after that first time.

Warm cute coat
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- L
I bought this in February for cold winters in Oregon (and beyond) after seeing my friend using hers in central Oregon. I am usually a size M but sized up to L - it is a little roomy in my mid section but fits better in my chest than a M would. I can wear a chunky sweater underneath and be comfortable. But it's warm enough that I don't need too many layers. The black looks a bit black-brown in color to me. The coat did fairly well in slightly rainy weather! I'll be very happy to have this for cold snowy weather next season.

10 years and still going
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I've owned this coat for almost 10 years, and it still works fine and looks good. It's EXTREMELY warm. It's almost too warm, so it only leaves my home on the coldest days (That's probably why it still looks so good after 10 years). It's so warm that if it's above 20 degrees Fahrenheit, I only need a long sleeve tee or base layer top underneath. That's saying a lot, because I'm not usually the warmest person in a room. It would be perfect for someone who has to be in extreme cold while commuting, but once at their destination, only needs a lightweight top. It's bulky and long enough that commuting while sitting will be cumbersome for some. It is a bit tight in areas, as other reviewers have noted. It's long enough to cover your bum and then some.
