Lowa has been making brawny backpacking boots for a century—and that includes the Ticam II GTX. Built for carrying heavy loads through mountainous terrain, the Ticam II features high-cut ankle support and supportive PU midsoles for conquering tougher trails and higher elevations. We like how the two-zone lacing lets us dial in different tension in the ankle and the foot and trust the Vibram outsoles, which include flat rubber in the toe area for better climbing traction on rock.
