Lightweight and comfortable
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- 41
I purchased these for a Mt. Hood summit and they are amazing. They are comfortable right out of the box, and very light weight. The four season boots are much heavier, and I find that the three season boots offer nearly the same protection and benefits, but are much lighter and more comfortable.

too fragile
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I bought these mainly to do glacier transit with semi automatic crampons. And to do some mountaineering and high difficult trekkings , I did a great research before buying. These where SUPER while they where new, they are a really perfect boot. I can stay I used them a lot, but keep them just for the most difficult trails since I didn't want to wear them for regular hikes. A year later, the sides (interior and exterior) from both shoes started to wear down and as a result stopped being waterproof. I don't get why they wouldn't add any kind of extra protection in that point where you get the boot always flexing.... I had to stop using them on ice and snow because because my feet get wet, and they are now my regular hike boot.... They are super comfy, great grip, and not too heavy but the fact that they won't last more than one year is not what I was expecting from these.

Durable
These are durable, warm and waterproof. I use these for winter conditions mostly during SAR callouts. I purchased them because they are crampon compatible but I have only used mico-spikes and have not needed crampons. I normally wear 7.5 shoe in other brands I have these in 39.5 and they fit perfect with Smartwool hiking socks.

Great all around hiking boots for all seasons.
I have used these boots for about four years now; they are versatile boots for hiking in summer and winter and seasons in between, at least in the Adirondacks and other parts of Upstate NY. I've worn the boots down to -20 and my feet stayed warm which is not an easy feat given that I have Raynaud's disease (poor circulation). Additionally, the boots are waterproof evidenced by the many wet/flooded trails I have successfully hiked thru without issue. The boot runs narrow and is low volume.

Good Trekking Boot
I wore these boots a significant amount on a glacier in Alaska, and learned that they are an excellent lightweight trekking boot, but are really difficult to climb in. I would typically switch into a heavier boot with an actual shank in it for vertical terrain, but for relaxed glacier hiking, these were excellent.

Be careful
I bought this last week with the goal to hike a 14’er via a class 3 ridge ( involved minute climbing ).. These shoes did not offer support on my soles, they did not offer support around my ankles. They also were slipping against the rock in the few areas I did climb. It’s a nice shoe for tiny hikes and your commute to work in the snow. But for the price, I was thoroughly disappointed.

Exactly what I wanted it to be
Great fitting, comfortable shoe. I love the fit around the ankle. Good for long days in the back country.
