70L Boot Locker DLX
Whether your competing for the cup, or you just want something organized to carry your shred gear, the Dakine Boot Locker DLX 70L is a great backpack for stowing and transporting your ski or snowboard boots, outerwear, and other ripping essentials. The split-level organization keeps your boots separated from the rest of your kit, so hopefully the funk won't make it to your work clothes (plastic bag recommended). The tarp-lined boot compartment doubles as a changing mat, so you don't have to stand barefooted on the cold locket room floor. Plus, the DLX includes a padded compartment for your helmet and goggles, so they'll stay somewhat fresh before you head up for some turns.

Get Your Gear and Go
- I've used it several times
I can easily say this is one of my greatest investments for my snow board gear. It fits my monosuit, helmet, accessories like goggles and gloves with extra room in there for snacks and food for the day, and of course my boots. The design is sweet getting to just step on he boot cover to not get your socks all wet and nasty. The zippers are perfect, zip like butter! I'm a sucker for good zipping zippers. Hate those snags. The only gripe I have with this is the backpack straps can't be stowed away so they just hang around. Not the end of the world but could have been dealt with. Either than that this bag is absolutely amazing. Keeps my gear organized and I get down with that.

Perfect to hit the slopes or a MTB ride
- I've put it through the wringer
I like to keep my gear in the house, but hate having to dig around and make sure I have everything I want to take up to the slopes. This bag fits my boots and all my gear. The lined bottom portion of the bag that holds the boots allows me to stash them in there after the day and not worry about water leaking out into the rest of the bag, the car or even the floor when I get home and toss it in the gear room. I open it up and let it dry out in between runs and it works great. The compartment at the top holds my helmet and all my other gear, there is also a separate smaller compartment that I can stash my goggles or other stuff in. I can see this bag also working great in the summer time for when I take trips on the MTB. Nobody like to toss all there wet and muddy gear back into there bag, but with the lined bottom compartment it's going to be no big deal. My 2nd favorite part about the bag is the pull out backpack straps. I sling one strap over my shoulder holding my gear and grab my board with the other hand and I'm off to the slopes!!! My only complaint is that it does seem to attract dog hair so if you got a couple furry friends around don't lay it next to them or it will start to look like a chia pet!

- I've put it through the wringer
I like to have one bag for all of my gear so I can just grab and go- I also like to have a bag that has ample access so that I don't have to completely empty the bag to get to the gear I need for the day. This is almost that bag....I have been using for almost one year and it almost meets all of my needs. Boot compartment is great, generous size, keeps moisture away from other gear- provides some extra storage if your boots done fill up the area- I have 27.5 feets and there's extra room for 3 pairs of gloves and some hard goods like harness, hand warmers, rope etc... Back pack straps are essential, in my opinion, and work as you would expect, tuck away nicely , and show no evidence of tearing away from pack after plenty of use. I like the u shaped opening on top although I think it could be a little larger- provides adequate access but not great. I think side access helmet port is unnecessary. Upper compartment is a little too small in my opinion and I think they could take some space from lower compartment and add it to upper compartment- I do try to fit a lot in here and and 80 or 90 liter version may suit my needs better so I cant fault dakine for that. I pack 2 merino bottoms and 2 merino tops, touring pants, resort pants, burly bibs, burly shell, down vest packed in its own pocket, lightweight down jacket packet into its own pocket, 800 fill down jacket packed into its own pocket, 3 pair socks, goggles, primaloft pants packed into its own pocket , and some other little stuff jammed into what ever crevice is left over. Helmet will not fit with all this stuff in there but I have back pack with ice ax, crampons, and patagonia primo down jacket (by the way- this is the best COLD resort jacket I have ever tried- cold windy summit county, jackson, big sky, whitefish cold... so anyway, great bag if 70L is big enough for your needs. 80 or 90 liter version would prob suit my needs better- if they ever made one of those I would first in line. Agree with previous reviewer that this would also make a great mountain bike/cycling bag with shoes, dirty stuff/wet stuff, tools in bottom and everything else up top.

THE gear bag
- I've used it several times
This bag is fantastic! I needed a bag for quick day trips where you want to throw your board on the rack and have your stuff in an easy, organized bag. I love that it offers the extra compartments in comparison to the other boot locker duffle by Dakine. AND backpack straps!!!! Talk about making packing and trips to the truck so much easier! I also see myself using this for cycling gear too! Hopefully they get more in stock because you need this! Totally geeking out over the functionality! I love smart gear!
