Incredibly strong for when you need it most.

Camp USA designed the Atlas Lock Carabiner for rescue, rigging, and tactical situations. Made out of an amazingly strong aluminum, the Atlas boasts a major axis strength of 40kN, and the keylock nose adds a lot of convenience when you're cleaning your setups. Great locker (spin gate).

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use this for my personal tether because its small, light weight, easy to use, and stays out of the way compared to a larger locker. I wouldn't recommend this for belaying, making anchors, or clove hitching just because its kinda small, and the rope doesn't feed through it as easily. Basically it's nice for attaching personal items to myself or for attaching myself to an anchor point.
