Excellent trekking poles
Nicely designed grips and locks. They feel practically weightless while hiking. I wish the hand straps were a little more supple.

Loving these poles!
Bought these because I have seen them used by others for years and had great things to say. I immediately took them out on a pretty grueling set of hikes in the south in some karst landscapes that would put a beating on any pole. They handled so well and felt so sturdy which was exactly what saved me a few times. I installed the screw on rubber tips which was an amazing adaptable feature to have and they helped going from rock to soft ground and back constantly! The straps and cork handle felt just right around my wrists and hands. I’m just super happy with these.

Length
Love the quality. But when at its shortest possible length they’re too long to fit into my carry-on luggage. I couldn’t bring them on my trip of planned hikes for a three day weekend. I’m so sad. Wish they compacted to a shorter length like my husband’s of another major brand.

They keep getting better
This is the 2nd set of Alpine Carbon Cork trekking poles I have purchased. The last set 8 years ago and unlike many other brands BD continues to improve the design especially the latches.

Great poles!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Just took these out for a 9 mile spin on the DeCaLiBron Loop. Great poles, lightweight. Wish it had the built in tightening hex tool like my wifes Black Diamond Poles do as I did need to tighten on the first few miles (first time use).

Alpine Carbon Cork
Purchased these trekking poles to prepare for hiking the PCT. I have chosen these poles for the right balance between comfort, weight, and durability. Would be nice if they fold into even smaller size, but they are small enough to fit in the side pocket of my backpack. So far they have served me well.

Incredibly Durable
Before purchasing the Alpine Carbon Corks, I had read that maybe the aluminum would be better overall for hardcore hunting in Alaska. I bought the Alpine Carbon poles anyways and am glad that I did. After trekking/packing 20-25 miles in the Alaskan range on the Alaskan peninsula over eight days, I can honestly say these poles made all the difference. Through alders, over boulder fields, across snow slides and flats, these poles were put to the test and never failed. Mine are Al scarred up but I love them. By the way, I’m 6’-2” tall and 235lbs so these can support big boys.
