Great!
Great hiking poles. The locking mechanism is secure, and the poles have not slipped when putting all my weight in them. They’re also very light.

Satisfied owner for 11 years
Bought the Alpine Carbon Fiber poles in 2012 for trip to Yellowstone. My best half could not believe how much I spent yet I was infatuated with the light weight and feel of the handles. Fast forward… these have survived hiking all over North America in various terrain and temperatures. I absolutely love the cork handles as my hands don’t uncomfortably sweat and cork still feels like new! Although the carbon doesn’t seem much lighter than aluminum initially, one might question the lightness for strength, you would be mistaken. Any hiking for distance with or without a load, you will not regret the extra cost. I recently had to call to replace lower arm, lost it from improperly mounting on a motorcycle returning from a remote trail. The technician “Joshua” was very informative and replacement part was a reasonable price. I ordered and had replacement in a week! After 11 years these poles are still in great condition. I would recommend these premium poles even considering the higher cost, if you plan on using extensively, using over less than ideal terrain or on warm days, cork & carbon are the way to go and don’t second guess yourself. See you on the trail!

Comfortable and Versatile
After being introduced to trekking poles on a night hike in the Great Sand Dunes National Park I did a lot of research before I purchased my first pair. I selected the Black Diamond Alpine Carbon Cork trekking poles. Now over ten years later hundreds of miles of hiking and backpacking, they have been one of my best investments. They have helped my knees and improved my stability as I age. They adjust easily for different conditions and are very durable/rugged. The carbide tips are long lasting. The rubber tips work well in Rocky or paved areas, and I’ve used the snow basket attachments too. The only downside is they cannot collapse as small as other options. Then too, other trekking poles can be lighter. But my wife recently borrowed my my trekking poles for a scenic hike with a friend and loved them. Now she wants her own set! I highly recommend.

Good poles, tricky advertisement
Poles seem great but the write up and name makes it sound like they come with the carbon tips and the snow baskets, but snow baskets are sold seperate. Heavier than other brands for the same price point as well

Solid Gear
Bought these based on some reviews and personal preference. I’ve only used once, but know this is a solid piece of gear. Easy to set desired height, comfortable in the hand and also lightweight.

Replacement for my z poles
Got these to replace my z-poles. They’re great trekking poles and am confident I’ll get many miles out of them. Light weight and compact.

Works like charm
I replaced my old but good Black Diamond Contour Elliptic Shock with this. A lot lighter but seems very durable. Handle is very comfortable as well.

Should last a long time
I just received my trekking poles and while I haven’t used them yet, they appear to be very well built and should last the test of time. I have used many trekking poles and these seem to be top of the line.

I’ve had several sets of walking poles and these are my favorite. I like the cork handles way better then the plastic or foam ones. I like how small they collapse and fit on the straps of my backpack. Lightweight and durable.

First Hike
I’ve only had these poles long enough for one hike but they seem to be exactly what I was looking for. Light weight, comfortable and strong. Hiking through Guadalupe Mountains in extreme wind and rocky conditions, these preformed perfectly!
