Panga 28L Backpack

Forget holding your pack over your head as you wade through that deep spot to get to the sandbar that's perfect for casting—the Yeti Panga 28L Backpack has your back while you take on the waves. This pack features ThickSkin material that uses a TPU coating to keep splashing water from seeping through and soaking your gear. A HydroLok zipper seals out moisture in case you drop the pack or happen to get caught in a shower, so you don't have to worry about water coming through there as long as you secure the U-Dock end of the zipper. The outside of the pack has multiple QuickGrab loops so you can attach additional gear securely, although it should be noted that gear attached to the outside of the pack will not enjoy the waterproof protection that gear stored inside the pack has.

  • Fly fish with the Panga for dry, protected gear
  • Waterproof ThickSkin stands up to abrasions
  • HydroLok zipper seals out water from any direction
  • DryHaul shoulder straps are padded for comfort
  • Removable waist and chest straps stabilize the load
  • QuickGrab loops let you attach additional gear
  • Internal mesh pocket secures small items

Perfect Dry Bag

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I used the Panga Backpack on a trip down the Muddy Creek in the San Rafael Swell in my Jackson Karma Traverse kayak stern storage compartment. It was the perfect size for the compartment and kept my gear considerably more dry than any other dry bag I brought. It was really put through the wringer and was getting pounded with whitewater all day. It did get a little water inside, but I think that was probably my fault for not pushing the bottom of the zipper down all the way. Overall, great product that I definitely recommend!

Such an awesome waterproof pack!

I've put it through the wringer

I took this Yeti Panga with me to Zion when I was lucky enough to be able to do the Subway hike down there. The pack performed beyond my expectations and was the perfect piece of gear for the trip! The ThickSkin Shell is so durable and held up super well. Also, the fully waterproof construction was awesome and allowed me to be able to swim through the slot canyons of the Subway with no worries of getting my spare clothes and food wet! The zipper can be a little tough to zip but that's how I've found all waterproof zippers to be, and that's what you want to ensure that the pack is fully sealed. Overall, awesome pack that I would highly recommend if you do a lot of water activities and would like to keep all your belongings inside dry!

Great for water adventures!

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I strapped down this Panga pack onto my stand up paddleboard and it worked great! I held some clothes, water, and snacks in there and strapped it down with the bungee storage on the board. The pack is not fully waterproof but it is definitely splash proof. I like that the pack has butterfly loops on the outside so you can easily attach water bottles and more. The material is very sturdy and easily wipes clean when you get muddy on adventures. The zipper can be a little difficult, but you just need to use some muscle, and it comes with zipper lubricant for when it gets too tough.
