    Details

    True attention to detail.

To put it plainly, the Wolverine Women's Original 1000 Mile Boot isn't just a glorified artifact; it's a testament to the confluence of innovation and quality craftsmanship. After all, the boot's design has largely remained unchanged for the past 100 years, so it should come as no surprise that it offers equal parts timeless style and durability. However, that anecdote is rendered rather obsolete without supporting facts.

To start, the Original 1000 Mile Boot features a Horween leather or C.F. suede exterior that is pliable, durable, and comfortable. Though, both materials are designed to age, so their splendidly smooth constitution transforms and in turn articulates a story that's true to you and wherever your feet have taken you. Metal eyelets complement flat, waxed laces for a rugged, secure fit—and speaking of which, the 1000 Mile is a true-blue work boot, meaning that its intended to be worn hard and runs a half size large. Meanwhile, the flexible Goodyear Welt construction features a cork midsole that molds to your feet over time and allows the boot to be entirely resoled, bolstering the boot's longevity. And, to put the cherry atop this proverbial sundae, a Vibram heel piece finishes off the silhouette, maintaining shock attenuation, traction, and a timeless look.

    • A truly timeless boot with a rich heritage
    • Durable leather upper has rustic, worn look
    • Waxed laces provide a personalized fit
    • Cork midsole molds to the shape of your foot
    • Welted construction assures easy resoling process
    • Vibram heel maintains a classic look

    BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I normally wear a 6.5 and that is what I ordered when I got these boots. They have a nice snug fit when you put them on the first time. I would size down a half size to make sure you get the best fit always!

These are the nicest boots I own and they are perfect for dressing up for a nice night out or dressing down to some jeans and a t-shirt. The laces are great and keep my feet tight and snug through out the day. They never come untied, even running to my car when it's raining out. The genuine leather is amazing and breaks in pretty quick!

The packaging these beauties come in is unreal. With a cloth to keep the dust off, the box also comes with a great story and history on how amazing this brand is!

I wore these boots to my sisters wedding and they kept my feet comfortable all day! I am super excited for winter to roll in so I can wear these bad boys more often!

Though there are a list of high quality boot manufactures, Wolverine Worldwide footwear has always been number one in my book. The 1000 Mile Boot was introduced to Michiganders in 1914. Considering this product has been on the market for over 100 years you know they are doing something right. Being a Michigan native I grew up seeing the Wolverine 1000 series all around my hometown of Grand Rapids, MI. You should know these stunning boots are designed in Rockford, Michigan and handcrafted in the USA! The iconic look was known around town as the “man’s work boot”. I quickly realized these boots are not just for men, and I that I needed a pair! Something I respect and find rare are the brands that offer the same style of boot in both Men and Women sizing. The durable leather has a rustic look and with time they acquire a natural worn look. The leather is treated for 23 days with a variety of oils which makes the leather age perfectly. Luxury waxed lases insure a personalized fit. A cork midsole molds comfortably to the sole of your foot. Wolverine World Wide thought ahead to the future when creating and made a shoe that is meant to be re-oiled, re-soled, re-polished and repaired. This boot was made with meticulous attention to detail will last you a lifetime!

My first experience opening the box and pulling the brown boot out of the carefully placed bag wasn’t your normal unboxing. The smell of genuine leather was overwhelmingly pleasant. Each boot was placed strategically in a soft bag to protect the leather. First impression was the quality, not one flaw on either boot. They were easy to put on both feet. Slightly snug toe box. I paired with my Levi shorts and a striped T-shirt to dinner and drinks with some friends. After a few hours of wear they fit perfectly!
Wolverine World Wide has many boots that will take you through the dirt and mud of a hard days of work, but these aren’t those boot. This isn’t a combat boot or a work boot, it’s an everyday boot. The classic style makes it easy to match almost every look! I will be pairing mine with dresses, my classic Levis, and I can’t wait to wear with a chunky winter sock when fall arrives.

My NORMAL size is 6-6.5 and I SIZED DOWN to a 5.5 and they fit perfectly! SIZE DOWN believe me. When you first put them on you should expect a snug fit. They should feel comfortable after one day of wear. Leather does relax over time so keep that in mind. They will not stretch out and get sloppy but will relax.

Stop your hesitation, treat yourself, you won’t regret it.

    Classic.

Very well made and immediately comfortable. The leather laces NEVER come untied , even without a double knot. These boots are both on-trend and classic; a rare and magical combination. Highly recommend.

    Absolutely excellent boots

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was looking for a boot that fit my style that I could use for any of my daily activities. So many women’s boots are fashionable but require changing shoes for any activity more strenuous than climbing stairs. These boots are extremely well-made, comfortable, good-looking, and versatile. I’m a woman in my early 30s and I don’t think they look too masculine on me, but it’s definitely a more masculine style. They’re great for everyday use, dog park, biking. My first wear was a little painful, but now less than a month later I can walk miles in them without a problem. I bought a half size down from my normal size and they fit perfectly. I have high arches and could use a little more support there, but just like my Birkenstocks I’m sure it will just take time and lots of walking. I bought the brown, which goes with just about everything I own. These have been perfect for any day cooler than 75 F with mid weight to heavy socks.

    Best Boots I've Owned

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I wear boots year-round in the Pacific Northwest, and own dozens of pairs, but these are still my tried-and-true favorites as an everyday wear. I don't own a single pair of boots that compare in terms of comfort, quality and outfit flexibility. From the top:

Sizing: I wear a 12D in dress shoes, 13D in almost all athletlc shoes and my boot fit is a bit all over the place. I wear a 11.5 in 1000 miles and it's a fantastic fit with dress socks and slightly thicker wool socks. If you live in a climate that does not call for thick socks, I would err on the side of going at least .5-1 size down from your dress shoe size. If you plan on wearing lots of thick socks then stick with .5 size down or normal size relative to your dress shoe. Not totally sure of your dress shoe size? Go to a fancy retail shop and have them get exact measurements for you.

Color: The most beautiful cordovan out there. I love the way all boots age, but the cordovan on these is something special.

Comfort: Again, second to none. As much as I love boots I don't often look forward to walking many miles in them. I wore these throughout Europe, covering 10-12 miles a day at times, and never had an issue with hot or sore spots.

    Looks: Obvious.

    Best boots I've ever bought.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Customer: They look good with everything. I bought a half size down as Wolverine's website suggests and they fit perfectly. Even with a little thicker (mid-weight) wool socks. I wore them right out of the box and walked about two miles. No hot spots. Totally comfortable.

    Wolverine 1000 Mile Boot

These boots are amazing. Every time I wear them I get compliments. I would recommend sizing down a half size, because they do run large, but they are so comfortable and well made, I can tell they will easily last me 20 years.
