I'm an intermediate rider and I got this board cuz I wanted something crazy. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to control! This board is stiff for sure, but really accessible. It's good if you're always trying to get it on edge. It's not the kind of board you want to slide around, though you can, it's just a bit slower and defeats the purpose of the board. You can easily disengage the edge for speed checks and make tight skidded turns if you need to. It accelerates quickly if you point it downhill and it feels great at speed. Full confidence. At lower speeds, it's totally fine and won't try to kill you. Just know it wants to be on edge and is not meant for spinning and buttering around. It shines best in more even snow conditions. On icy pistes it slides a bit but stays predictable, as long as it's not surprise ice. On bumpy and variable terrain, it depends more on your technique to not get bucked around. It does well in a few inches of snow or slush. I can't comment on pow or freestyle. Cons: Weak topsheet. The topsheet has small bumps/pimples all over it, as if there was dust or sand in the factory when they put on the topsheet. There was also a small defect on my board where the topsheet near the edge had a ~3cm indent. It also scratches easily, so I had a ton of small scratches after day 1. Bindings will also press its shape onto the topsheet. I also got a small ~5cm long chip near the edge somehow, maybe from getting hit from behind by a skier. The edges are not stainless steel either so wipe them down after you ride or else it will rust quickly. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. Don't let the stiffness on paper scare you, it's really manageable. Most people should go for the 154, unless you're big, or know you want something stiff with a lot of effective edge, then go for the 159. The board is like a racecar that prioritizes grip. You can daily it and drive it to the supermarket as well, but just keep it mind what it's meant to do.
