    Catch & Release

Umpqua has come out with some solid angler accessories and this is another offering that ticks all the boxes. Not sure its distantly different from the other magnetic net releases out there but it certainly does the job. I recently rigged a sizeable landing net with rubber ghost mesh bag (so some weight to the whole setup) on a retractor attached to the lower side of my waterproof backpack via the handle. I attached this magnetic net release to the hoop portion (near the handle) and the other half to the waistbelt of the backpack. This keeps the net close at hand for landing fish and stays put for hiking along and through the river (all but the deepest waiding)—works great.
