Some trail shoes have so much cushioning that you might as well be running on the road, which is fine for some, but if you want the added control and maneuverability of being able to feel the ground beneath your feet, this is the shoe for you. It's got a zero-drop platform along with minimal to moderate levels of cushioning, but still offers all the protection and performance you need on the trail thanks to its high-traction Vibram outsole and flexible yet protective midsole rock plate.

I wanted to love these shoes. They fit so well, just the right amount of cushioning, stability and zero drop, but alas, I had to send them back. The upper is made of a stiff yet flexible material that makes a very noticeable crinkling noise with every step. I don't understand how Topo released these shoes without noticing such a prominent flaw.
