The North Face Gatebreak Down Jacket is your ticket to the white room this season, with a load of 550-fill down that keeps all your hard-earned body heat close to your core, so you can rip single-digit blower until the sun goes down.

The Gatebreak jacket features a soft, breathable polyester shell with a water-resistant DWR coating to protect the loft and insulating power of the down insulation. The 550 fill isn't the lightest of loftiest on the market, but it's much less expensive than 850-fill down and provides a low-profile, yet comforting blanket-like feel that feels great when temps are really dropping. TNF hooked the Gatebreak up with an insulated hood, two zippered hand pockets, internal media and goggle pockets, and a wrist accessory pocket that's a perfect place to stash an RFID lift pass. There's even an adjustable snap-down powder skirt with gripper elastic and an adjustable hem to keep the cold smoke from jumping down into your skivvies.
