My husband loves this coat. Pros: It is abundantly warm, very durable, and semi-affordable for what you get--his most desired qualities in a coat.. Cons: it is bulky and he overheats in weather above 20f. Recently he wore this in -35f windchill weather outside for 45 min and was happy to have this coat. It is a best-buy item, not the best, but maybe for the money it is. Runs a tad large. Fits his broad shoulders but is baggy mid-torso.

While the jacket color is not true to the description, the jacket itself is outstanding, wearing it in NYC commuting on the subways everyday I have had no issues with warmth nor durability, the jacket hood is a little awkward when zipped up all the way though, but other then that the jacket is ideal for warmth and every day commutes, I own several spyder and north face jackets FYI.

Great Jacket but Misleading Color

I returned this product before using it

Ordered this coat as I was in need of a parka to handle NYC winters. Ordered this parka in TNF black. However, when receiving the coat, i noticed that the color is totally different than the TNF black that North Face advertised. The parka did seem of nice quality, fitted well (size large, and I am 6'1 215), and seemed warm. But I was completely turned off by the actual color, which was a darker grey with the upper body being a jet black. The only problem is the misleading color. I ended up returning the item.

In "select color" drop down, asphalt grey is showing a black thumbnail while tnf black is showing a grey thumbnail. Are they backwards? If so, which should i go with? Picture or text?
