Solar Ultra 2 Tent: 2-Person 3-Season

Moving fast means packing light, and few tents on the market are as light and protective as the Terra Nova Solar Ultra 2 Tent. Weighing less than a bivy, the Solar Ultra is the ideal shelter for ultralight backpackers and adventure racers who are looking to shave some serious weight from their pack, but don't want to sacrifice living space in the process.

The Solar Ultra has a freestanding design that doesn't require additional trekking poles or guy lines to be pitched—however, Terra Nova threw in three reflective guylines for added security during windy nights. The Solar Ultra gets its impressive trail weight from Terra Nova's proprietary ultralight Ultra fabric, which features a 10K waterproof rating and bonded seams to ensure complete waterproof protection.

The floor of the tent is also made of Ultra fabric, while the inner canopy features a full-mesh door to keep the tent well ventilated, so you don't wake up to a dewy cave in the morning. Terra Nova made the Super Ultra compatible with its Fastpack fast-pitch system, which allows the tent to be pitched without the inner canopy (although an additional footprint is required for set up).
