Why We Built The Stoic High Pack Chair

For added comfort at camp without weighing down our pack, we bring along our Stoic High Pack Chair. The tall back lets us really sink into the bucket seat for max relaxation after a high mileage day. The water-repellent material sheds drizzles and dries off quick when left in the rain, while the mesh side panels let cooling breezes pass through on hot summer nights.

Very comfortable

Easy to set up and take down. Fits into a small carry case that's perfect for camping and fitting into saddle bags

Good first impression

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

5’6” 135 lbs. good seat. Only nitpick is the arms on the side rest weird but not uncomfy enough to be a bad review. Still better than most IMO. Good for it’s price

Plastic fitting broke on the first trip

The plastic fittings look sturdy but cracked on my first outing. It requires a lot of tension to stretch the seat material over the frame to begin with and then adding my 170 lbs to the frame did it in.

Love the compact size

I absolutely love the compact size and it is super easy to put together. It’s almost like a rocking chair for me because it’s a bit wobbly. But I had one of my heavier-set brothers sit it in and it held up just fine. The only thing I would change is the handle on the bag, it’s not big enough to go on my shoulder to free up my hands for other things.

Comfortable and Lightweight

This chair is perfect travel/concerts. Even though it does not include any instructions, assembly is very easy and intuitive. I would recommend paying attention to how it was rolled up so you can easily use the same "pattern" when breaking it down (which is also super easy). The chair itself is surprising comfortable and stable. The weight listed is a bit misleading, with the carrying bag it is approximately 2lb 10oz. Also, be aware the Mountain Meadow Print color does not have mesh side panels, but the Orange one does.
