Equipped with fully taped seams and an Xt.L 20K waterproof and breathable laminate, the Rival provides reliable waterproof breathable protection for full days on the snowy slopes. Spyder also added a Spylon+ DWR treatment for additional water-shedding protection, and 3M Thinsulate insulation offers extra warmth in a surprisingly lightweight and low-profile package.

The Rival also features a protective powder skirt that snaps away for groomer days, a removable hood for extra protection or a low-profile look, and a core ventilation system that utilizes underarm zippers for an ample amount of airflow. Spyder added a removable hood for the sunny days, hook-and-loop cuffs for a secure fit, and a drawcord at the hem for versatile coverage, before topping the Rival off with hand, chest, sleeve, and internal pockets to keep you organized as you put the winter days behind you.
