Looks Cool but Impractical

I bought these So Ill clippers for my teenage son, an avid indoor climber. His fingernails mustn't interfere with his grip on the boulders. He just informed me that the tips of the finger- and toenail clippers block the view of his nails. They're designed too large and every compression is a hesitant guess that the right amount of the cuticle gets severed. He prefers traditional clippers found in the beauty aisle. Old-style clippers had more time to evolve to their present form, but I applaud So Ill with two stars for the imagination and bravado to push a stately design forward. Perhaps they'll take a stab at the dish sponge. Backcountry, what do you advise I do with these useless clippers?
