Pockets fill up with water/ poor design for a wading pant.

Great Pant Wader

Love these for river fishing smaller streams. Plenty of pockets and attachment points, materials are excellent quality. XL size fits, but is a bit snug with winter clothing.

Stay dry and comfortable.

I have worn Simms chest waders for years and was recently in the market for wading pants for the convenience in smaller streams. After looking at other brands, I stayed with the one you can't go wrong with - Simms. Great fit and quality is unmatched.

Nice waders if they fit your dimensions

I think these could be fine waders for some, but not for me. I am 5 feet 7 inches tall but have size 9 1/2 feet. I had to buy the mediums for the booties to fit, but the product could have been chest waders because they were so big on me. If I tightened the belt around my waist, there was so much bunched up material in the legs that walking was difficult. Again, that is not a problem if one was 5’ 10 or 5’ 11”, but I had to send them back. Although one should not complain about the toughness of a product, I thought the material was rather heavy for waders I planned to use in the hot days of summer in New England when the water levels are low.

Excellent Quality & Value

Excellent quality product. Fits true to size. After using the Freestone Wading Pants I purchased a pair of Freestone Chest Waders. Much of my fishing area requires hiking through brush and sage. Excellent tough material. Good value, assembled in USA!

Freestone Wading Pants -meet expectations!

These pants look much better in person than they do in the website pictures. They are tougher than I imagined too! I'll be using them this Fall in Alaska, and will have the G3 boots also - so they'll be put to the test for 12 days. I'm 5'09" - 180# and ordered the M size. They are a little loose on me, but I have room to layer underneath, even layer puffy pants under them. -LM

Thought the pockets were a bad idea, however…find they are very useful and convenient.

Excellent Waders

High quality -- typical for Simms. Very comfortable. If waist-high waders are all that you need, this is the answer.

Close to perfect but lacking due to material quality and design.

Pros: Generally glad I bought these waders. I'm 5'11', 200 lbs, with size 11 or 12 feet, a 32' inseam and 34' waist. These fit very well, comfortable but not too baggy. The pockets are very nice. There are double belt loops in the front, which is a handy attachment point for an outboard motor kill switch and line nippers or pliers on a retractor. Cons: The zipper and snap set up for the fly is less than ideal. The snaps on my pair are poor quality. They disengage with a slight bump and necessitate wearing a belt. I fish around brown bears, so generally have a belt on anyway because I carry a pistol, spray, and extra ammo. The problem is, when you undo the fly to take a leak they fall down around your knees. The remedy for this would be if they had attachment points for suspenders. Another good thing to add would be extra material to reinforce the seat and knees for added durability.
