Backcountry Quilt 800 Sleeping Bag: 38F Down

The Sierra Designs Backcountry Quilt 800 Sleeping Bag is an excellent companion for ultralight backpacking trips. With 800-fill duck down insulation stuffed throughout this quilt, you'll stay warm in this sleeping bag, even in temperatures as low as 30°F.  Compared to other backpacking quilts, this one has an oversized design for increased comfort that helps prevent you from slipping out of it while you're sleeping. It also has some unique features designed for comfort on cold nights, like a comfy hideaway hood and corner 'mitts' that help you pull the bag around you if you're a side sleeper and keep your hands toasty. The quilt weights a mere pound and a half to appease all you ultralight backpackers out there; just be sure to bring a sleeping pad if you want some insulation under your body during your trip.

Sierra Designs made the Backcountry Quilt's shell out of ripstop for durability that keeps the bag light, and the liner out of taffeta for extra comfort while you rest. Sierra Designs treated the insulation with DriDown to give the bag water-resistant protection so you stay dry when condensation seeps in through your tent.
