Jarin Gravel Shoe

I've used it several times
True to size

As Sidi’s top of the line gravel shoe this is a great shoe. However, they molded the lugs of a new softer more rubber like material. I thought this was a nice feature at first as it provides more traction and cushioning than the harder plastic ones. The lugs wore out in a month of riding to the point where my Crank Brothers Eggbeater pedals would no longer clip securely to the shoe. I did ride a LOT in that month, but I didn’t do any “hike-a-bikes” or abuse, or walk over any extreme surfaces. The lugs wore clean through, and replacements weren’t to be had at the time (CV19). The harder red & gray lugs for the Drako’s and some other Sidis are the same style, so you could change them out, but should not need to on $500 shoes. Hopefully they will figure it out and discontinue using the black rubbker cleats. That said COMPETATIVE CYCLEIST’S CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SECOND TO NONE! They warranty exchanged my Jarins for a pair of Drakos and I couldn’t be happier! Also, that cool olive green color just looks dirty as soon as it gets a little dirt dust on it. The Drako’s gray/black always looks “sharp” 😉
